i can't get myself to want to waltz on over to my dealer
(2min away) to go buy the S2000...

i can't get myself to justify selling my MCS for a new
S2000... is there something wrong with me or is this a
typical Monday?

perhaps i just dont like NA 4 cylinders other than for
the commute to work (ie: FitS). or perhaps my FitS is
sufficient in providing me with the fun factor of motoring
a 4 cylinder Honda. driving a slow car fast is fun.

any inputs? shall i just get another set of SSR Comps
this time in 17x7.5 anthrasite with some sticky summer tires?

ive had it for a while now and it seems like a good time to move onto
something else... been going back and forth in my head since last year,
actually. tentatively i was planning early Fall... like late August timing
which only gives me like 2months.

at least that has been the plan.

Come on, ken... that 4-cylinder MINI is just not ANY four cylinder car.

A) It's a MINI... fun to drive, fun to mod, fun to detail !!

B) It has a Supercharger.

C) It's small and light.

D) Because of B & C, it accelerates more like a V-6.

S2000 ? What are the pros of owning that car over a MINI S ?

CR&PW&JB- nonono, i was referring to the S2000's NA 4 banger. i like
the S/C MCS's engine and power. i was thinking the NA 4 banger thirst
was being satisfied with my FitS which is under powered yet quick. it's
fun to drive a slow car fast.

pros of owning the S2000 over the MCS... you see, that's where im
getting stuck at. i dont particulary have that thing for convertibles...
it's FR so that's great, but so is my G35C. it doesnt have the low-end
torque id like from a so called 'sports car' which i know the S2000 doesnt
have. the car is fun to drive for sure, but so are my other cars
(less legacywgn, they suck... just wanted to put that in there ).

see, i cant justify it. but since i told everyone im thinking about selling my
MCS, now i feel pressued that i have to sell it. does that
make any sense?

wat i want to do is get some light weight wheels for my MCS again cause
im lacking the braking capacity i had running the SSR comps i sold last
year...

Man, I would have a very hard time coming up with a car to replace the MINI if I ever thought of giving it up.

No. I'm AA - Abnormally ****.

The first step is admitting it.

If it wasn't a Pontiac I'd consider the Solstice. I like the looks and I had the 2007 Corvette point's champion tell me that he set the course record at Pueblo in the stock class using his Solstice. He said that having raced both the MINI S & Solstice on the same track, the Solstice out cornered the MINI every time. This is stock class mind you. The Solstice is also weight penalized 200 lbs. I don't know, nor really care all that much for racing, but coming from this guy it was a pretty big endorsement for the Solstice.
Too bad it is GM.
If I had to replace the MINI today with another convertible it would probably be with a Nissan Z Roadster ($42K). Although the Audi TT looks nice and I think they got the power issues addressed ($48K ).

yah, i mean if your budget is like $100K im sure there are other fun cars
out there, but for less than $50K there's really not too many cars i
'really' want right now. sure, there are nicer cars than wat i have now,
but nicer cars have too much electronics on it like nav and gorgeous
interiors, etc. i dont want that on my hobby car... i want a simple fun
to drive car with very minimal anemities... not too many cars with FR
fall into that category other than maybe a S2000... and im not a mazda
fan so the miata's are out. even the new G37C's interior is too much for me.

i want a cargo pants/t-shirt car if that makes any sense.

Did everyone survive the night?
I'm in a three-day meeting starting today, what a drag. I'll be dreaming of our club ride this weekend; twisties, a picnic & more twisties. A better way to kick-off summer I can not imagine.
