Meeeeeeee toooooooooooo... drive in to the MINI dealership, that is. That's where I am right now.

Inspection I today for the CR Cooper. Last of the three to go through this baptism.

Also having some Hawk ceramic pads installed today, so that when I paint the calipers soon, they'll actually stay red.

Hope Chuck is surviving his full day of meeting(s). There should be a law against day-long meetings. I used to have a Commander in the Air Force who had a rule: No meetings longer than one hour. Good man.

They have them in regular lugs, but not tuner...the holes are REALLY small on these wheels.

So I just spent 2 days at work pressure washing lighting and audio cables, like 1000's of feet of the stuff. Had to get mud and gunk off them from an outdoor gig. They are heavy, and we had to bag all the connectors. Someone else gets to wax them I guess, as I'm done there

gack ... one day down and two more to go. Sixteen more fruitless hours I'm squandering for corporate America. I'd rather be motoring. I'd rather be detailing. I'd rather be taping some else's MINI before having to watch them detail.
I'm spent and I'm done.

Meetings suck.

After we finally had our water restrictions lifted here.... the primary 36" water main feeding our town exploded.... so we're on emergency water from backup systems now... but *gasp* no car washing until they get it fixed... which could be WEEEEEEKs.... gack...

Seems like, by now, it would have just been cheaper for Griot's to install a conveyor belt to your house.

Rotated and Hydro'd my wheels tonight... and checked fluids.

Installed my new CB last night...

Washed my Griot's microfiber duster for the first time tonight... it was just getting kinda gray (it's white when new)... didn't look totally nasty, but looked a little dirty... so I took off the head and threw it in the sink with some hottish water and a little liquid detergent... and it turned the whole sinkfull of water BLACK... it's unbelievable how much dust was trapped in that thing... now it's almost white again...

Just popping in to say "hello" to my OCDetailer peeps from sunny and HOT New Mexico. Arrived yesterday around 9:30 am local time and I'm already tired of the heat. Do NOT believe what you hear about "but it's a DRY heat". It's still friggin' hot.

Okay, gotta go detail the ugly rental car (I keed, I keed). It only had 35 miles on it when we pulled off the lot. But boy, is it U G L Y (Dodge Calibre). Couldn't talk my SO into anything else... she likes it.

CR&PW&JB - ive had those new calibers as rentals from Hertz. it was
complete garbage, just as bad as the Tayato Yaris. i feel very
sorry for you.

to my surprise, we recently got a PT Cruiser as a Hertz rental and we found
that it was TREMENDOUSLY better than the yaris, matrix, caliber, cobalt, etc. in
the 'economy' price range. like some ugly girls, some of them have a nice
personality, so can't take them all by appearance. LOL

aftermarket steering wheel with spacers... my FitS has no telescoping
steering column and just can't find that perfect seating position.

with this new setup, i shall.
