Must be summer, busy here
...
i didnt even use my bucket. all i did was use the "shower" mode to
wet down the car and wash mitt, turned the top dial to dispense soap to
coat 1/2 of the car, turned the dial back to water mode before i put it
down, used my washmitt to work the shampoo, rinsed the mitt on occasion
while working the shampoo. this is why i didnt need the wash bucket.
then rinsed off the car in the same shower mode. moved onto the
other side of the car, repeat. then did the wheels using my boar's hair
brush. i was done washing the car IN THE SUN in 7-8min.
...... using a wash bucket is a thing of the past.
i used it to rest
my wash mitt.

I have one of those, got it at the home show here in the spring. It works great, is VERY robust, you can drive over them. I have a shut off valve on the end of my hose so I don't have to twist it on and off once a have it set for a certain task. When set on jet it has lots of concentrated pressure, and in combination with the shut off valve, you can set it so you get a perfect waterfall for sheeting water the car when rinsing.

Wow, ken... I can't even imagine washing one of the MINIs without a bucket.
Did you break out in hives while washing ?
I bought that other nozzle pic'd above and this morning picked up a pretty nice shut-off valve. Man, with just the valve on there, it puts out a pretty darn powerful stream of water. And if you turn it off part way, you get a nice even spray. Maybe I'll just go nozzleless.
Glad you like that wash-nozzle, ken. Keep us posted on how it wears over the months.

this is the next generation washing.
basically it'ssafe to wash bucketless cause im rinsing the mitt frequently with running
water between the work-in shampoo.
i think it's similar to the2bucket method. I'll keep running the same nozzle until it dies.

yah, i use to run those valves a while ago but with the backup release
valve on the garage faucet my garage becomes flooded with partial
pressure.
our village ordinance at work.
it has to be full pressure or off regardless of where the valve is...at the faucet or
at the end of the hose. stupid stupid stupid
yah, im just spreading the dirt all over my car.

nono, im rinsing the washmitt after doing a panel per side on the mitt.
that's why i think it's just as safe as a 2bucket method.
i have
no scientific data...yet

It turns out that everything's normal.
I have the chrono pack and it's supposed to be at 3/4 because that's where 195F is. I posted a thread in the "1st gen - Stock Issues" forum and everyone that responded assured me that was normal. Geoffrey's now ready to go for a drive down to San Diego. I just need my navigator to wake up from his mid-morning nap and we should be good to go.

put a standard water hose on it...so i really dont have a choice unless
i weld something...
but then again, i get minimal spills in the garage when i use my regular
nozzles so no biggie.

Sorry to hear that.Let me know if you need a hand with anything. All I'll need is a little energy from fermented beverages.
