and the winning steering wheel for the FitS is the
MOMO Champion. just picked it up
from my buddy's shop a moment ago.

should match my FitS's interior very nicely.

Nope - just dry microfiber yarn. Incredible staticy super-soft dust magnet.

that's wat i thought. so how would it differ from using a platinum MF
towel by DP and just dry wiping it without much pressure and then
shaking the larger sand out?

1) the duster is a super-static machine... I don't know why, but it is... you hold it NEAR the car, and you can see it sucking dust off... weird.
2) the way the twists of yarn are made, it's VERY plush and thick... like using 2 or three monster fluffies on top of one another...
3) the nature of the twists provides much more "capture" area for the dust... so it doesn't just get pushed around on the surface like it would by a towel... think of using a bounty towel to wash your car vs. using a mitt... the mitt picks up and holds the dirt away from the paint... same concept.
4) the handle lets you use it like a duster - no bending over, easy to reach everything, fast.

Yeah I have one too and it's awesome. It sucks dust right off, and mine comes out of the wash spotlessly white and new-looking.

My back still hurts I need to figure out something to put my wash mitt on so I don't have to bend over to wash the lower parts of the MINIs. Maybe a 4 inch paint roller on a pole. Stuff it inside the mitt, and wash away. May need a hairband to keep the mitt on.

in my garage i use when the weather is cold.

this year with the new hose nozzle with build-in shampoo dispenser,
things are going to be SUPER easy.

Ken- I may need to look into both those items. Although I'm pretty sure I can make a mitt pole thingie.

It's Friday so that means I'm out of here and home by noon. Time then to wash & fuel-up for the club rides this weekend.
Paul, you got water back for washing yet? Could be a long weekend if not.
Oh BTW after 24 hours of training I am now HAZWOPER certified for another year. 8 hours on your a$$ in one room listening to the same instructor is plenty. Times 3 and I was suicidal.
Did I mention it is Friday!

You mean you get to run the big computer at NORAD? Cool.

No car washing here still - expected to be that way for WEEKS now. But I'm gonna be driving the Blue Ridge Parkway all weekend with my club, probably with QD's at every stop...

Hey, that looks like my first calculator back in the 70's. It was on wheels so it was portable too.

Banter? We don't banter here. We loquaciously discuss and debate and illustrate and share experiences. Some of which relate to detailing.

Banter indeed. What do you think this is, the OT forum?

dont feel too bad cause it's iso-t-storm all weekend long. pulled out
my FitS though, which is a MT and fun to motor too.

but, it appears each morning's going to be sunny so that's cool. at least
i can probably pull my G out.

it should work fine. was mystique 1oz per gallon or 1oz per 2gallons
like my Griot's CarWash? i put in 3oz in the container to do 2 cars last
time and it was starting to get a tad thin near the end, so going to
use 2oz per car.

you might want to do 3+oz per car it it's 1oz per gallon.

I believe it's even less than that...1 oz per 2 gallons...
