Must be summer, busy here
Yeah, it kinda does...like it doesn't really shred...but as you go, you notice there's less eraser than there was before
It works though. I did my whole bathroom floor a few years back.

yah, tried it just now. not sure if it made any difference.

it's snowing a little bit here too.

i was about to pull my G out to do the oil change. naw. will wait an hr
and see.

got done changing my G's oil this afternoon and took her out for a nice
drive.
tomorrow im going to do my MCS's oil.
had a bird crap on my G WHILE i was under the car getting the oil out.
i pull out my bottle of slick only to drop it and the sprayer shattered into
little pieces.
WTF, griot's sprayers dont shatter when i accientally
drop it.
im starting to hate those prima bottles to tell you the truth. they are
either too small, too narrow (they dont sit upright when you're using them
on the fly), or just too brittle.

i know OG doesn't like those bottles either... they are pretty and they
look nice on my cart, but when it comes to really using them they are
not the best.
for interior they are fine... like clarity/nero. but slick and hydro should
come in a bigger, fatter robust bottle... like griot's.

(off this topic, but on the general topic...)
Led a big club trip this weekend to Ocracoke (an island on the NC Outer Banks) - included two ferry rides - a short one today (nice and calm) and a long (almost 3 hour) one yesterday - racing a storm, heavy seas, waves breaking over the bow of the ferry, lots of salt water on most of the cars. Then rained overnight at the hotel.
What does that have to do with detailing? Washed my car when I got home tonight, but the salt water had baked onto my bonnet and I have wonderful hard water style spots all over the place. Gonna have to clay and wax again to get it off... well, was gonna do a polish in the next couple of weeks anyway to prep for the Dragon, so I guess it's not that big a deal... just got ugly spots until I get around to doing it...

Paul, just think of those spots as something that makes it easier for you to see which parts of the car you've already clayed and polished. Well... yeah, I'd be pissed too.
Wrong forum but hey... I installed strut tower reinforcement plates in Dr Evil today. Now I can hit those potholes with confidence.
blimey- welcome to chicago winter.
salt water spots are a
pita to get off. it's best you just wash it as soon as you can. it will take
a lot of clay/polish to get that crap off.
CR&PW&JB- yah, i think im going to save my griot's bottles and start
using those as my Hydro and Slick bottles.
thanks for
the tip.

As far as the Prima bottles go, I tend to put most things that I spray into smaller spray bottles anyway, so no big deal to me. Now I do find the Prima bottles that you squeeze product out of, I know same bottle, different lid, they tend to collapse and not return to their normal shape.
Ken, for the grout, there are specific cleaners for it. What I think most of these may be is bleach with a higher price tag. Do a test somewhere with a 50/50 water bleach mix, see if it cleans it, and does not change to colour. For real tough stains, use your dremel with a fine stone on it.

The really funny
thing was that, before we hit the really rough stuff, several folks were napping in their MINIs with the sunroof open... and got awakened by a cold salty shower... you could hear all of them wake up and scream at the same time...
It was an adventure... I think someone may do a "I Survived Blimey's Boat Ride" T-shirt on CafePress...

Batten down the hatches or I'll keelhaul you scallywags!
Boy, that felt good...
Arrrrr!!!!
So did that.
When we were loading on a smaller ferry yesterday, we just BARELY fit all of our group on the ferry (we had about 22 cars, plus some others that were there ahead of us... including a monster motor home) ... one of the ferrymen said "Good thing y'all aren't the Crown Victoria club..."

Yeah you laugh, but I'd bet there would be a lot of members in the
"Made out in the back seat of my Dad's Crown Vic Club"
Probably about the same number as the "I lost my virginity and right to wear a white wedding dress in the back seat of my boy friend's Dad's Crown Vic Club"

. Not to warm for the next couple days ether. Oh well the vets cars are going to have to wait, to cool to work on them. No heat in the carport.
