Done for today, I'm beat, 8 hours with the RO. It turned out looking good, way better than it was. Tomorrow I need to treat the rag top, clean up chrome, and Black Wow.

I'd post some pics, but I have to go to an Optimist club meeting, do it tomorrow.

ok, my plan of attack...

first, take a 2hr power nap.
open garage.
clay tail of G.
wax by hand Best of Show.
close garage.
clay any other areas as needed, including glass.
wax by RO Best of Show.
wait...
wait....
wait....
nap again...
snack...

remove Best of Show using SprayOn wax.

how's that sound?

You're giving me BoS flashbacks.

Apply...

Three months later, remove.

I went outside this morning to wash Clara because the cloud bank was still overhead...but I made the mistake of starting with the interior because it was so bad (hadn't done it since before AMVIV) and by the time I was ready to wash, the sun was out.

Boo. Going to the beach with a dirty MINI.

yah, watever ML. jk

why would you do the interior BEFORE going to the beach?
it's like washing your garage floor before driving your dirty car back inside.

Cuz in Nor Cal you don't really go TO the beach. You just get sorta close to it and pretend it's like real beach. There will likely be no sand involved.

It's too cold to actually get anywhere near the water! Although the dogs might, we'll see. They're kinda crazy like that.

well, i started at 1:15pm, QD'ed the car, clayed and waxed.

it's 65F a tad windy but inside the garage barely any wind.
had the door open the entire time. RH60% nice~.

Best of Show dried within like 5min of app. like i can rub the wax and
it was dry. so i waxed, removed, touched up my FitS's
little chips and even washed (and hanged) my towels and pads.
2.5hrs tops.

that must've been the quickest exterior detail ive done in years.

for those looking for foam pad cleaners after wax/polish, definitely
try Griot's Microfiber Cleaner. thing is awesome!

the 3" pad washed off in 3 squirts + running warm water (twice).
the 6" pad washed off in 4 squirts + running warm water (3 times).

wat? me like OG? no way... he turned on his after burners like 2yrs
ago and no where to be found on my radar. he's waaay ahead.

but the key thing about this quick wax job i did today is from the extra
care i took not to add swirls.. and to remove contaminants as soon as
possible... and it helps cause my G's garaged and rarely driven in wet
conditions. i can almost hear people saying cheater!
