Hi gang, been to busy to post much of anything lately. Ignoring can be a full time job

Going to wash both MINIs later today, but now I'm going to put our new smoker/grill together. From what I hear from those that have put one together, I'm looking at about 4 hours of assembly time

Mark

Ahhhhhhhh... new grill, Mark ! Pics, please !!!

Here's what I did today. Here's Bergey's boot as it's been for about two years:

And here it is now:

You probably didn't notice, but those are new boot stripes. I messed up the old ones a little bit by not taping the edges (I know better, just got lazy) and the black die ran into the white pins a bit.

I also put that "Bend The Rules..." decal on the window. I thought it might be getting a bit too busy back there so I decided to leave off the "Cooper" badge.

I like that look.

sounds like we're all having a good time this weekend.

CR&PW&JB- lookin' good!

ended up not raining this morning so i pulled out my G after my
dissappointing run with the FitS. the sudden high humidity and heat
today killed the consistency in the Fit's ECU response while the a/c was
on. not good, it just irritated me. pulled out my G into the
same condition, no issue wat so ever.

the SPARCO harness pad is great! it feels very comfy and
now my belt does not rub my neck as it did before wheew! the
memory foam is goooood stuff.

i think i want to take advantage of a sale going on at sears for a 5 drawer
chest they have going til end of today....but not sure yet. my chest is
only 12" deep whereas the one on sale is 16" deep so can fit more tools.

Busy day here.

1) Washed and Hydro'd minivan.
2) Washed and Hydro'd Blimey.
3) Polished and installed new painted roll hoop covers.
4) Drove across town for Nitto Neo Gen install (saved $100 by driving across town to Discount Tire location grand opening).
5) Test drove new tires.
6) Fixed fog light brake mod that had stopped working last year, which required dismantling half of the interior of my cabrio boot.
7) Washed wheels again (got dirty during the install).
8) Added a pint of BioSyn (I only installed 9 pints before).
9) Checked fluids - no more coolant leak! Yay.
10) Swept out garage.
11) Polished out nasty spot on one of my UJ wheel centercaps.
12) Removed CB antenna and mount for next weekend's run (don't need the CB and don't want the antenna flapping around during my mountain run).
13) Kneeled down and worshipped my new CarboTech AX6 brake pads. They make some dust, but they stop like the big red button on the time-space continuum generator.

Well the grill build went great, only took 2 hours. Lois and I are a team. Then we proceeded to spend 2 hours slow seasoning the grill, sipping margaritas. Then we let it cool down a bit, fired it back up , and smoked some burgers. I'll post some pics tomorrow, have some other yard photos to take.

ChiliPepJet, your Chili looks great

Never ignoring you folk, just a few others

Where there's Mark and Lois, there's Margaritas...

Seems like a theme....

Maybe y'all need your own brand of Marg mixers...

Thanks, Mark and Ken. The more I look at that boot, the more I'm liking it without the Cooper badge.

And Mark, I'm with you on the ignore thing... I bet my list is very similar to yours.

Hey, Paul... stop being so damn lazy, man !! Get off your *** and do something, huh ??

pulling out my G in about 15. nice 60F, should be a great drive today.

going to wash my dd's, especially the legacy looks pretty filthy from wife
driving through rain. last week we had a monsoon of a rain but my FitS
was parked at work and dried by the sun by the time i walked out of work.
it looked freshly washed for a dd.

reminded me of chows.

Chuck - THANK YOU - you make me feel less hyperactive by comparison. And we all know that my self esteem is what's most important.

im going to sound lazy cause i looked at my FitS and it didnt look too
dirty so just WindowCleaner'ed the windows, slicked the wheels and
called it "freshly washed."

QD'ed my G when it got back, clarity'ed the glass. going to wash the
legacy in about 5. hope to be done by 10am so that i can take a break
before running some errands...

Wow, looks like everyone's been busy, busy, busy!

Gonna wash and Hydro the MINI today. It has been raining here thepast few days so the MINI looks pretty nasty. Looks like no rain for the next few days, so it should stay clean for a while.

On a different note, my brother in Bethesda just bought his daughter a used Cooper and surprised her.

My sister, one of my brothers, and I now have MINIs. We're teasing our other brother to get one too.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!

Wow, olifiotiotilifioti... your niece has some pretty good spring in her legs.
Very cool to surprise her like that. Must be a really interesting guy, your brother. You'll have to make sure they know about NAM... we could always use more good people around here.

I like both boots(can we still use that word)

Ken, the grill came in a box. The box says grill is 7X bigger than the box.
Going to smoke a Pork butt, or is that Pork boot, today to make pulled pork, I'll post pics of the process.

Lets see, I have a MINI, Lois has a MINI, her brother, Poyzin here on NAM, has a MINI. Looks like John and I are neck and neck with the family MINI ownership

The springiness must come from the ballet training.

My borther is car nut of sorts too----from the Miata world. He sold it though and now has a motorcycle.

My 80-year old mother might like one too, so we may pull ahead of you.

Damn, I'm going to have to talk some of my cousins, nieces, and nephews into buying MINIs.

I really can't keep buying more just to keep up with you guys and your families.

So, back to detailing. You know how after you wash the car, the rotors rust, then after the first drive you've large bits of dirt on the wheels again? Are you so OCD that you must clean this up right away?
