Yeah, working on a gorgeous Saturday sucks.
But I'll be thinking about you NEXT Friday when I'm on the first day of my 3-day weekend.
Watch the weather be miserable that day.
Don't need AC... I haven't run mine in about three weeks. Who needs it, even in 90 degrees ? Just roll those windows down, open the roof up all the way...
And hey, tomorrow I'll be commuting in the convertible. So at least 80 minutes of my day will be great !

yah, the last 4 day weekend 2 of the days were like crap buti had other things to do... it was a good FitS motoring day.

exactly! ive only used a/c once this year (well, attempted to, but only
blew hot air
). 80min of MINI motoring to work ain't bad.
CR&PW&JB- $200 is a good deal for a pulley install. Helix was $240 (included plugs/belt). Make sure you order a shorter belt! I agree with Blimey- take it to LDG. He might even hook you up with a tune.
...which may be my next mod.
Slotted rotors finally came for the TL today! So I'll get those installed along with Hawk pads- very much needed.

Yeah, I thought $200 was a very fair price for a job that runs about 3 hours. LDG said they've done so many of these on MINIs, they can do them in just over 2 hours.
I'll have to call them back to see if they have the shorter belts at the garage of if they want me to order... thanks for that reminder.
Getting your Hawk pads installed....
! After about two weeks, you'll be amazed at how little dust you're dealing with. And slotted rotors, too... DROOL !!

motoring the G was fun.
i monitored weatherchannel's radar
while motoring on my bb so i was able to get home before the rain
came down.
started raining about 5min after i got home.
Speedshined the G's front and side mirrors, clarity'ed the glass. basically
preppin' her for tomorrow's drive.

cars. the only stop i make is at the gas station or at the dealer when
it's time for some scheduled maintenance that i dont want to do at home.
or when im taking some wuick shots.
i never stop at a starbucks or stores or anywhere, actually. that i do
in the FitS.
one of the reasons why i dont really need a/c or stereo in my hobby cars
because i only motor on nice days and only listen to the music from
the engine/exhaust and wind.
Just asking because you go motoring a L
T !! 'tis a good life you lead, my friend !!
I had a nice commute in my MCSC this morning. But... I couldn't get the roof to go down all the way. It stops at the sunroof opening point and won't go any further.
Thought the motor might be over heated. Just went out during lunch and tried it again. No go.
Owner's manual says to make sure the convertible top release handles (in the boot) are tight... they are.
Looks like a trip to the dealership is coming up.
yikes, sorry to hear about that top motor.
i hate UK precision.
is there a way to manually crank it shut like on the sunroof?
yah, i go motoring every weekday in my MCS before work and pull my G
out every weekend mornings if it's nice out.
one of the reasons why that S2000CR caught my attention was because
you can order it without a stereo and a/c.
be perfect for me.

I'm with you on the no need for AC and it's a bummer you can't get a MINI without it. Stereo... gotta have it. I like to listen to my exhaust tone in town, but out on the open road, must have the music... loud !
oh, atleast it shuts, huh?
yah, i suppose it would get pretty boring if there was no music out
in the open. the only cross country trips i do is to tirerack...and that's
with my dd.

how many more hours are you stuck at work?

Our Saturday hours are 8:30 to 5:00... so 2 hours, 40 minutes to go.
Absolutely perfect weather here today. So many things I could be doing.
Ah well, off next Friday for working today, and we're going away for the weekend, so it's not so bad.

ahh, full day's work.
yah, im sure you can recover the urge next weekend.
it's starting
to get a little sunny out. might wash the dd's later on if things hold up.
otherwise, will hold off washing them until tomorrow am.

The new stripes arrived for the Cabrio, so I'm going to start working on them tomorrow. They are slightly wider than the old ones, so the plan is to only remove them to were they go under the clear bra, then go over the bra and stripes. Is this a good idea. I don't really want to cut the bra to remove the stripes from under it.
The new stripes have a clear bra type film already on them.
