Must be summer, busy here
Just finished giving Geoffrey a bath. Washed him, clayed the roof, mirrors, and boot, BG'ed, and applied Wheel Armour on his wheels. I should have BW'ed him before I put the BG on but I forgot the BW at home. I am pretty much out of BG now so I will have to put in an order for that along with more Wheel Armour and perhaps some Clarity.
Here's a question for you everyone.. if I were to polish by hand, what kind of applicator should I use? I would probably be looking into Swirl and Amigo only.. I am pretty sure that I don't need Cut or Finish. I know I should get a PC but since I have no wash facilities at my apt complex, I take Geoffrey to the coin wash and they don't have any electrical outlets available to use.

leslie- get one that has a handle for sure.
i use the velcro backed pad handles and pads from Griot's when i do
spot polish/wax. i have both the 3" one and the 6" one.
great tool.
if you decide to use griot's pads, use the orange for polish,
red for amigo and wax. use one pad per product. name them
with a sharpie before use.

'huge' it actually washed off the dust on my dd's.
and bythe time i was done with work the roads were dry.
Our summer this year has been unusually wet. I haven't used the sprinkler yet this summer!
Well, we had a long-term drought here until a couple of months ago... so they had just recently lifted the water use restrictions.
THEN... an equipment failure caused the 36" water supply line that feeds our town from the river 20 miles away to rupture... so they tapped into other supply lines from other nearby cities temporarily. Then they decided that, instead of doing a quick-fix on the primary line, they'd completely re-engineer the station that had the problem to prevent future problems. And here we are several weeks later still drawing water from secondary sources which aren't sufficient for 100% of our demand if unrestricted water use is allowed...
I just got finished installing glossy black headlamp rings from vinyl styles. It was a PITA job let me tell you. Those things are GLUED on there. Looks great though. Now all thats black on the front of the car are the light housings. I can finally update my sig pic!
got done QD'ing my MCS. looks great, slicked the wheels and dressed
the tires. also LeatherCare spray'ed the G's interior and LeatherCare'ed
the shift boot near the ****.
wish there was a way to stop sweat dripping from my forehead while
detailing the interior...

No I didn't have to heat them. I did manage to break tabs on both of my chrome ones when I was taking them off, so I won't be getting the core charge back...oh well...it is definitely worth it! That glue does have a 'kung fu grip' as Lyle said in his directions. He never mentioned anything about heating in his instructions either....
I would have to say that the b/o headlamp rings made a bigger aesthetic change to the car then the M7 ultimate grills did.
This morning after parking the car I took a good look at it from a few feet away and it looks awesome!
I was thinking the exact same thing a few days ago when I was hyrdoing the MCS...such a drag!
Drive it through a golf course when the sprinklers are on...hopefully they are still allowed to water their grass.
I told you---you always get our weather a day or two after.I have relatives who live in Bethesda, so I tend to follow what goes on there.
If you subtract 43.54 from 75, divided by 3 and squared that, you would find the approximate speed that I drove to Wyoming this week. And I still got 28.3 mpg with the top down.
