went out motoring in my G pimpin' a stiffer damping setup and it was
awesome. the ride was fantastic.

and, a/c was nice on the way home. i should maybe get the
JDM console with hvac control and put a 2din nav/stereo system in
there just for the hell of it.

got done at 11:30am. used my 6" and 3" orbitals, Amigo,
Best of Show, BW'ed the arches, Clarity'ed the glass. i waxed the butt
as well even though i amigo/wax'ed it last week to give it a consistent look.

drank 32oz of water while working on the car and i was still thirsty
at the end. it's about 85F and 70%RH...so it took some
time for BofS to dry.

bad pict, but just proof i worked on my car. not bad for only
2.5hrs of work, although you can't really tell from this pict how great
it turned out. amigo+bofs = even deeper color.

So why not A/C in the MCS? Mine has started to make noise in as the rpm's go up and down. I fear it is going out.

Looking good Ken. I have to work tomorrow, so no detailing for me, it's in the high 90's in the afternoon these days, just to hot for me. But my plan is to get up by the crack of the first sparrow fart on Sunday, and get some more Banana gas gloss done.

Mark

thanks, lotsie. yah, high 90F's is too hot to do much detailing.

you havent read? dealer couldn't fix it even after 4 attemps.
there's a slow leak somewhere (i think evaporator since thats the only
thing they haven't replaced). car's out of warranty and i rarely used
a/c anyways so was no big deal but gets pretty hot.

nowadays no a/c is becoming irritating in the morning drives.

Yes you do, very lucky. I hope mine isnt going out, however it doesnt get warm enough to use all that often.

yah, perhaps your compressor is going?
my car bascially has all new bits on the a/c system less the evaporator.

pretty stupid, imho. cars this age should not have a/c problems.

comments? i think they look pretty good. with this design
i prefer 18's but they will probably be too stiff for me. these are oz ultraleggara's. (sp?)

chopped to match my H-Sport lowering springs.

I like.

But that money would be better spent on an RMW head for my car.

yah, for me ive been looking for a light set of wheels. it's not too bad
right now with the 22lbs i have on there but if i can make that 16lbs
that will be a significant improvement in braking capacity over stock (26lbs).

wired up that battery tender harness onto my G and MCS tonight
so that i can plug it in whenever. i checked the light status
indicator on my MCS's battery and it's green.

Yeah... I've been very happy with my bullet wheels, which are the lightest OEM 17's... but still 20.6lbs.... today at the dyno I was feeling some other owners lighter wheel/tire combos... saving 5lbs per wheel would be significant.... hmmm....

If you can lock up your wheels already with the ones you have, how will lightening them up improve 'braking capacity'? Just curious. Thanks.

There is something about those superleggeras that just look good on a mini...I vote yes! If you do go 18" be sure to pre-buy some chiropractic sessions, k?

lighter wheels = less rotation mass/unsprung weight so it helps slow
the car down much faster. the benefit i had between my old
R90 17's (26lbs) vs SSR Comps 16's (11.5lbs) were crazy. i could
stop like bbk'ed cars.

thanks. yah, my current 5spokes are pretty nice looking. simple
yet aggressive, stock looking yet so not so stock looking. kinda like
cute wife but even more cute when mad.

My car is 5 years old today, well I got Poco 5 years ago today. Gotta go to work now, finish installing a new set at a local TV station.

happy b-day to poco!

motoring the FitS was fun. with the limited power it has and the
nice handling it does very well in the rain, safely.

That's one shiny MINI, ken. Yeah, I'm late. Haven't popped into this thread in a few days.

Washed my CR Cooper this a.m. Dr Evil was washed last weekend and garaged ever since. So... good time to try out the Banana Gloss. Did both MINIs in less than an hour. That stuff goes on easy, comes off easy.

And the deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepness of the shine ? WWWW

Pics later, when I get some shadows in the driveway. CR does not photograph as well in direct sunlight.

And btw, it's friggin hot and sticky out there already !
