if you have a 70%, you can use it straight.

Sweet, thanks. The BW made the rest of the trim look great though.

Im sure the results would be even more dramatic if my car wasn't Jet Gray.

Yeah, but the trim stands out more on Jet Gray.

Woooo, it's hot and humid this morning. And I thought it was supposed to be a beautiful day like yesterday. Washed two of the MINIs, did some touch up work on the PW (should make my SO do it since she's the one who didn't want the clearbra). And not the grass is almost dry enough to mow.

I'm going to be ready for a nap this afternoon. Either that, or I'll be in the ER for my back. Got MRI results back yesterday. I have 5 disc protrusions in my cervical spine and 3 more in my thoracic spine. None are awfully bad, but two of them are pressing on my spinal cord.

Ah, the joys of getting older.

I'M not washing MINIs today, and it's the first time in weeks all they need is some QD. Can't cut grass today as we got over an inch of rain here yesterday in about 1/2 an hour and things are just a bit to damp still.

motored my FitS this am due to rain... by the time i got home it was
sunny so washed him.

then went onto my MCS inspection. did the rear half today, shall do
the front half tomorrow. everything looks good. is the fuel line suppose
to be on a slight sag on these cars?

sag as in it's not drooping, just not perfectly straight and tight between
the brackets.

also fixed and tightened the milltek center clamp.

Cleaned Geoffrey's interior: dusted, vacuumed, Meg's interior wipes, and Nero'ed

Tomorrow is his bath day: wash + Hydro

Ken: I like the look of the RPF1s, but is the brilliant coated version kindda blingy? Or is that just the way it looks on the website?

I'd go with the anthracite, but the colourful ones would be nice too, but I do really like the anthracite look, although shiny things are nice, but anthracite may be easier to keep clean looking, but the bright finished ones in the right colour would look great..... Hope this helps

What? I'm not a fan of too much bling.. it's bad enough that the MINI has quite a bit of chrome.

Looks like a nice day here today, no rain, not to hot. So my plan is to cut grass, do a few things in the garden, then I'm going to start the process of getting BG on both the MINIs. My order will get here tomorrow, but I have enough left over from the sample to get my roof done today. Then spend an hour or so after work this week getting them all done.

I'm going to wash/remove old wax with alcohol/clay as needed/Amigo with white pad/BG. This should last into the fall, probably with a second coat of BG in about 6 weeks, then I'll do a full detail with Epic before winter.

sounds good, lotsie.

i got back from motoring my G, dusted, SprayOn waxed, Clarity'ed the
glass. looks great

and then washed my LegacyWgn.

yesterday i found another huge dent + 8" crease on the same door as
last time on my legacy but more towards the front. this car has
so many beams inside its flimsy metal it is almost impossible to get my
tools inside. this time i had to use 100% glue pullers and knock-down tool.

i could only get about 85% out but its enough to go undetected by
someone not knowing it's there. took me 3 frikken hrs yesterday cause
each shot of glue takes 3min to dry. used 4 different pullers and kept
cycling it. biggest waste of my saturday afternoon.

Geoffrey got his bath.. and I ended up giving myself a bath in the process. I got a little too close when I was soaping him up and got the bottom of my shirt and the front of my jeans wet. I then followed that up with slinging a wet waffle weave towel on my shoulder (I needed some place to put it and I wasn't thinking). There's nothing wrong with smelling like Hydro, right?

Yeah, looks like it's going to be a nice day!

I motored early this morning to the office to drop some things off. Nice cool weather and open roads. MINI is a bit dirty 'cause I went out on the wet roads yesterday. Will try to wash later this afternoon.

MArk, give me jingle tomorrow when I can drop by and pick up the 'bananas'

that doesn't sound like you got yourself in a bath... more like you
missed your bathroom time.

so i motored my MCS this morning thinking everything is going great,
then i get on the expressway and hear that squeaking whistling noise
again...

it might be coming from the hvac. i had it on fresh-air mode at blower
speed2 with the window open and as soon as i hit OFF the noise
dissappeared. but i also had to exit the expressway so not sure if it
was that or the lower speed. seems like it depends on wind
direction too. wtf.

was about to pull the trigger on a new set of wheels and tires today
but now i dont feel like it. use the $2K on another car...

Suggestion - spend your $2000 on MY car... it's not making any funny noises, and could really benefit from a RMW head. And I guarantee you'll feel all warm and fuzzy when it's done.

But you're already getting cam and tune! That will be amazing once that's done.
