The Prima seals (tape) are only there to prevent the "push button" tops from getting pressed and opened during shipping. All their products in those bottles are like that (Epic, Amigo, Polishes, Mystique...)

And, as has been discussed, you CAN use Amigo under carnauba... if you're one of THOSE people...

ok, tried the amigo on the MCS's butt followed by Best of Show
and SprayOn wax.

Amigo went on like a wax and dried rather quickly. it wiped off very easily
leaving behind a very clean polished-like surface. it was refreshing to
get this level of finish without pulling out my RO. i did it by hand
using the 3" griot's red pad.

followed by BofS and removed with SprayOn wax. looks like the car
was just detailed. not bad not bad.

i like it.

i was thinking i would have to work the product in somewhat with some
pressure like polish, but no. it's more like a wax. gentle pressure, soft
pad, and just work it in a little bit like wax to get complete coverage.

minor swirls are all hidden now. this is exactly what i was looking
for.

Yep - you can actually use it either way with good results. With the PC and a more polish-like application it gives even more of a mirror glaze than by hand.

good stuff.

There is something about canines, age and tricks in this story of ken & Amigo.

Same here, Mark. In the 90s with 45 percent humidity (that's pretty darn high for this time of day).

Just looked at the US doppler radar picture and theres showers and thunderstorms going on in about 30 States right now. Pretty wild.

Actually the temps have dropped a few degrees in the last few minutes, but it looks like we are going to get a soaking tonight, lots of rain headed this way.

Rain is good. I won't need to water the lawn.

Rain is good if the MINI is home in the garage. If the MINI is out, it's bad. If the MINI is out motoring on the wet roads, rain is REALLY bad. The rest of the car gets dirty, the boot gets F I L T H Y.

Except for when I reseeded some of the lawn this spring, and even then not much, because we were getting so much rain, I have not watered the lawn once yet this year. The gardens don't even need much, just new stuff. I dug a hole the other day, got down about a foot, and the soil was wet.

You'll have at least one home in the garage.

I'm never sorry for having to wash too many MINIs. It's a blessing, not a curse. But boy, I would love to have two weeks of beautiful weather (dry and cool) to give me a break from washing, just for a little while.

Kinda random question. If you could only do one by machine which would it be, Amigo or Epic? This is assuming that you have already polished out most of the swirls and scratches (but not all of them).

I am leaning towards doing Amigo by machine. I really want as much gloss as I can get, plus I know I wont get all of my swirls with just Polish 3. My only thing with doing Epic by hand is putting it on too thick.

I think Amigo would be easier to apply by hand, but you would benefit more from the use of a machine with Amigo than a machine with Epic.
I do both with a machine.
