was a busy day...still not done but... motored the G, did a quick QD,
clarity'ed the glass, washed the dd's and cleaned its interior, did some
minor inspection/repair on the legacy, ate lunch, changed the legacy's
oil, played with my son, did more repair on the legacy's interior, then
slicked the MCS's wheels.

need to run an errand tonight before supper.

went out motoring in my G this am thinking it was sunny...then
suddenly hit a wall of fog... literally. i thought maybe it would just
be that one part of the area but no. it was very dense too.

turned home and QD'ed the car. even used my wipers
for the first time since 4yrs ago.

going to pull out my FitS to motor today. it's raining spots here and
here.

No rain here! Gorgeous day, 73 degrees and sunny. Just took an hour drive back from a friend's place. So much fun. I'm gonna miss being able to roll the windows down this winter. :(

Hey gang, how goes it, eh? Not going to try and get up to date, been to long.

We have been busy here, gutted and remodeled the bathroom, fixed a leaky roof over the kitchen, insulated that attic, need to upgrade the main attic insulation now. Ran security at the big balloon race here yesterday.

Just have had no time for NAM, and not having to find time has been a good thing Miss the folks here on this forum, not missing some of the members from elsewhere on the site.

Hopefully I'll have some time to hang here some now, off work for a bit, major house stuff is done.

Mark

tu13- does anyone make a window visor for the R56's? i run a Mugen one
on my FitS and it's awesome! i can keep the windows cracked open and
no water comes in.

i too like motoring with the window down...wife asks me why i dont i just
get a convertible next time. S2000CR?

got new wiper refills for my G today as it was chattering during the return...
would suck to not have working wipers when i need it most.

You mean like a rain guard? I haven't looked, nor have I seen anyone with them. Would be interesting to know though.

As for wipers, get SilBlades!

im not sure what rain guard is, but it's technically called window visors, i think.

yah, i was thinking aftermarket blades at one time, but i just went with OEM
for now. come to think of it, my MCS is still running original blades from
5+ yrs ago.

so while i was getting gas this am for my MCS, i noticed that the
lip under the aero bumper in the front is pretty chipped up from bugs
and rock impact.

im going to sand it down, prime it, and paint it matte black tonight.

I realized my orange front turn signal lenses are ugly. Does anyone make clear ones? I'd assume so but my searches haven't turned up anything.

do the R56's have orange turn signals in the rear too? on my car i replaced
the tail lights to the OE clear turn signal version (not the all clear late 90's
ric0r version) and spray painted the orange bulb in the front turn signal
silver.

Er, I said that wrong. It's not the turn signal lenses, it's the reflector thing in the wheel arch. I don't know what it's called. I do have the "clear turn signal" that you can order with the car.

It's this thing:

Lots of folks use film to smoke out their OEM ones.

I assume it's pretty easy to pop them out? Are they just reflectors or is there a light in them? I haven't looked. :P

There's light in there that unplugs. They have clear bulbs in them from the factory. I switched to amber front / red rear. They're 90%ish reflectors, with a little light in the end. They're held on with a couple of speednuts which suck... I ended up sticking my new ones in with a dab of black silicone.

I don't see any on ebay now, though... they come and go...

you still need to remove the arch itself or can you do that just by raising
the car?

Don't need to remove the arch. Accessible from the wheel well. MAY have to remove a few clips from the liner - I don't recall...

i see... outmotoring sells a tint 'kit' for $19... that's kinda expensive
for just 4 pices of film...

i'd just mask it and hit it with some night shade...
