Must be summer, busy here

Mark
one of my uncles is single and lived with his mom until she moved
to a nice senior's community condo....so i suppose i can't laugh.
or can i?
well, no, but i just wanted to have it. is that clear as mud?
you think i live in LA or something?
it does rain here in Chicago
sometimes and i need it. like last weekend i motored my G in the
rain and i was glad i had the wipers replaced recently.
ok, so
i knew it was raining outside and was purposefully going to drive in the
rain...but..

I do.
I'm 22 and just graduated college, so I'm taking advantage of free rent and food for a while until I have enough money for a house.

i had that option, but when i was 22 after graduating college
i moved out to LA to try it out on my own. my older bro moved
to japan to make it on his own.
ive never asked for one penny from my parents since i moved
out. everything i own is by me, everything we own is by me
and wife.
that makes it more funner.
ahh, you thank your parents well for that opportunity.

Other than that I'm financially independent, so it works out. Having a good job helps.
sounds good.

i paid a lot of rent money when i moved out but it was MY PLACE
and so i liked it a lot.
never really thought of it as wastedmoney since it was the only way i could afford a place of my own
without anyone's help... just part of life. nothin' like coming home
to your own place regardless of whether you own it or not.
wife and i are on the last 1/2 of mortgage now.
7more yrs and my hobby cars will turn into much expensive cars.
just kidding, im only going to buy something affordable like now and save up for retirement.
that's the reality for middle-classme.
Ha, good one!
Anyways, yeah, it'd be nice to have my own place, but I'd much rather put up with a year or two of living at home and then have my own house, than 4-5 years of living in an apartment before having a house of my own. To each his own, though.

my kids will be kicked out of the houseafter college.

Hi everyone, more detailing newbie questions:
Do you need to do anything when you resume your detailing? say if you wash one day, wax one side but not the other? Or don't Wheel Armour your wheels until you find time next week? You don't actually have to rewash, right? Do you use a QD, and what is the proper method of QD'ing? (take off dust and gritty scratchy stuff first? how?)
What do you do with your MR detailing pads and cloths? It seems kind of bad to run a wash for 1 or 2 WW, 4 or 5 skinnies, 1 monster, 1 platinum. that's a lot of water & energy used to wash a handful of towels. Hand washing any better? or re-use all towels for one or more washes? Are you supposed to machine wash the lambswool mitt?
Thanks everyone! Hope these newb questions bring back fond memories for you experts!

Hi Newbie!
As long as the car doesn't get DIRTY between detailing sessions - no worries. Using a duster or light QD to remove dust, then resume.
Same for wheels... though they can get dirty a lot faster than the rest of the car and may require a re-wash if they've been driven.
I have enough microfiber towels of all the various types that I accumulate them over a few weeks of washings and quick detailings and window cleanings, etc. Then when I have a bucket full, I machine wash them - makes a pretty decent small load. I do NOT machine wash my mitt - I just rinse it with the hose and hang it on my floor jack handle to dry.

on a side note, i need to wash my DP Platinum MF in white vinegar pretty
soon..it's getting kinda stiff lately and not very fluffy. the newer ones
i have a nice an fluff but the older ones ive been using are feeling kinda
brittle almost.
but yah, a revival of the triumph would be kinda cool.
