RJ- you still haven't received your 3" RO? those griot folks are really slackin' these days. the hell is this "ships in 5-10 business days" with rip-off shipping rates?

if i order my stuff it should ship out at least by the next business day.

I got it Ken, but yeah their Shipping Costs and Time Line Suck, especially since I live...what 148mi. from their Retail Store. I'll continue to buy some stuff from them, but waiting a week is rediculous!!

On the plus side, I did get 2 Checks from them for 1 Item I returned. Yeah, I shreaded the 2nd one, but come on who (now a days) is giving away FREE $$??!!

RJ- yah you would expect to receive your goods the next business day, nit ship from the center of the continent!

Yah, I too will buy from them but thought their service has kinda become slacker status huh, I never got a free check... It must be some kind of trap.

Went to ikea in my FitS with the wife and bought 4 big shelves.

You know you don't need a separate orbital to go to 3-inch, right? You can just put a 3-inch plate on your regular orbital...

Yep and I stock those plates...the plates from Lake Country aren't actually 3", they are slightly larger as Lake Country doesn't make 3" backing plates for the PC. The correct pads for that plate is also closer to 4". Actually I do have 3" backing plates for the rotary but it needs an adaptor to use with the PC, so effectively you've got a backing plate that works on either the PC or rotary.

The main benefits to using a dedicated polisher is reduced hassle..not having to stop and pull off the backing plate when you want to polish a small area, and in my case with my Metabo polisher, taking advantage of a smaller form factor with less vibration. The new 3" polisher from Griots grew from their original 3" polisher, so it's not quite as compact as the Metabo they copied.

But it seems that the reason for going with the 3" polisher was fear of the larger 7424XP???

Motoron- I'm not sure but it's a nice deep red and feels good pushing it.

I prefer having dedicated 6" and 3" orbitals. So much easier to use the small one in tight spaces. its worth having both.

Ken, try www.shopprimacarcare.com. That should get you to their site.

Detailed the Interiors of the 2 Four Wheeled Kids today. Ken you were right about 50/50 Nero, worked great on both. I just touched up Molly's tonight 'cause I cleaned the windows last and had some spots.

Had a 1 1/4" Curt Hitch put on Smaug a couple weeks ago, also bought a Thule Platform Bike Carrier to carry our Bikes. We're ready to roll...where, I don't know yet??!!

wow $15 for estimated shipping for clarity gallon. i thought griot's was rip-off city when it came to shipping/handling.

ok, i think i'll just stick to my griot's rubbing alcohol + distilled water mix AKA WindowCleaner from now on.

Is that an IB owned site too? I definitely need to be on more forums..it's getting a bit too crowded here on my home turf if you know what I mean.
