I feel like Ken.

I just spent a buttload on a Griot's order.

I'm still a Prima junkie. But just ordered:
Spray on Carwash - time to restock since they were having a great sale bundle gallon + 35oz + three towels
Wheel Sticks
Little foam wheel finger mitts
Interior cleaner
Rubber prep
MF cleaner - gallon
Free vinyl and rubber dressing (hey, it was free - I have a gallon of Nero)

All this talk of fancy detailing stuff... I must be a simpleton to be using Turtle Wax. It is the F21 stuff, though. Protects against UVA/UVB, fills in micro scratches, buffs some scratches out, removes orange peal effect after millions of applications, repels water, protects against pollutants, slick to the touch after application, and lasts an entire year. So I don't feel that bad when I skip a washing for some reason.

Not bad for cheap wash, cheap clay, F21 Turtle Wax, Turtle Wax tire shine, and Black Wow. It is not what you use, but how you use it, right?

I have never washed my exhaust tips.

Blimey- welcome to the griots club. that sprayon carwash is great!

RJ- lol, that's a great Friday joke. I'm not rich at all.

So I installed the new R2C intake for my z last night. Has a much better heatshield than the JWT one I had before. fitment is like JDM. pulling her out for a test drive this am and going to work in the pm. should be a quick day.

Took my son to school in my G and motored afterwards. was a good drive. Clouds looked like it was going to rain so headed back a tad early. Placed my car in the garage and 5min later started to pour.

If it wasn't for these garbage shitola folks driving those pos cars 10mph under the speed limit I couldve probably went the whole round but oh well... Seems like we normal folks need to cater to garbage. lucky them. :

Yah, I use to have a 03MCS. My garage still has MINI decorations and I don't plan on taking it down anytime soon.

So far Today...Molly's gotten a Waterless Car Wash, still need to find a way to do Water-less Wheel Cleaning?? If anyone can offer suggestions I'd appreciate it. I was thinking of just taking the MF used on Molly to the wheels, then Hydro??

Rainin' here so no way is she getting let out of the Garage!!

Ken, it looks like you don't even drive that car. It is impossibly clean under there.

I make a point of driving when it rains. Love it.

Today I cleaned my interior. Vacuumed all surfaces, used the brush attachment on seats, console, all plastic, and the headliner too. Then I used Enszett cockpit on all plastic surfaces and interior panels. Cleaned all glass (with Armorall glass cleaner. Hey, I had paid for it long ago, and I'm just using it up, works well enough), then applied BMW leather all-in-one cleaner/conditioner. Smells really good in there.

RJ- sounds good. water-less washes FTW! as for wheels i would drench a MF towel with your water-less cleaner or prima slick and gently wipe the wheels. i would take it in 2 steps not to scratch the surface and not to get product on the tires.

thanks nabeshin. i try my best to keep my Z and G as clean as possible. i frown when i have to drive through rain... but not because i dont like driving in rain (i think it's kinda fun) but i dont have the time to clean it to the detailed level each time and i dont like to see my hobby cars dirty or starting to corrode in the usual areas.

so this am motored my Z and had a great time. i passed on the wooded area i usually go because it was raining up there but motored other parts of town with low traffic. also stopped at the park to snap some picts and to admire the car.

i dont like spraying product onto my brake rotors and contaminate my pads so watever it takes NOT to spray stuff on it is great. unless i know i can rinse it with water before driving... i think that is the one 'weakness' of waterless systems; you can't really blast anything on bits you know you can't easily reach to wipe off.

Ken - yeah - I love the Spray On Carwash - been using it for a while. Nice for those "in between" times when you're too dusty/dirty for a QD, but not completely nasty/muddy either.

Of course, a day after I place my order, I'm washing the new SUV thingy and realize I don't have a good way to wash the top... and need one of these:

blimey- im really digging this SOCarWash too.

haha, yah, i have those stick mitts. when you wash the mitt make sure you separate from the rest of your other MF stuff cause the velcro will get all caught up on the other MF towels and mitt. (learned the hard way picking out the tiny plastic hooks fromt he velcro like a monkey ) i have a screen bag thingie and place the stick mitt in that and toss it into the wash with the other stuff.

so im doing some maintenance work on my central hvac in the house.. just pre-winter prep and remembered that my central humidifier thingie wont fire up.

im not much of a home improvement guy so i opened up the furnace thinking it was a 1960's car stereo and went to work. i found that the transformer wasnt feeding power to the solenoid... so ordered the part, hope that fixes it. if not, then i think my control box is dead... will replace that. if that dont work i'll replace the house.

QD'd my MINI and Veracruz with Hydro this AM. Veracruz had water spots from a half-azzed drying job after the weekend wash when the wife was in a hurry to take the car. Both were a little dusty. Now both look lovely.
