Must be summer, busy here
That sucks, Ken. Nobody will scratch my car with a smog check because there are none here. No inspections of any kind are needed. Though for some cars you see on the road here, you'd wish there was at times. I've seen some that were rusted so bad, they were held together with pure hope. Also saw one guy's wheel fall off and another who's entire exhaust system was dragging under the car.
So I got the two coats on, these need to cure for 24 hours before the top coat can go on. I put the seal back so that I could drive to work though. It is essentially done now, the extra top coat stuff is just added protection. Rained on my way back. I pulled up the seal and it was wet, as usual, but the water was beading hard core on the Rust Bullet.

nabeshin- hey, sounds like that rust bullet's working.
yah, i think it's a good idea to have smog check, but if they're only scanning for SES they should just have a self-serve booth. you know, first scan your letter, then your vin, then your driver's license, and walla, 2min later you're done scratch-free.
i think what happened was that the highschool dropout scuffed his belt or pants on the sidesill while he dug under to connect the OBD scanner.
dumbarse rookie. next time i need to take my cars in, im going to go there with painter's tape on the sill, 4-5 layers.

oh? You're moving?
yah, Griots gets very addictive.
I managed to wash my Fit's today.
looks good, used Griot's CarWash and Hydro'ed afterwards.
also RainX'ed.So next weekend I got a 4 day weekend coming up, planning to do coolant and oil change on the G, will clay her butt and rough spots and Best of Show wax.

For the Z, I expect to receive my CF bits so will install that. Will pass on waxing as the adhesives need time to cure.

I used ICE in the Griot's Multi-Pattern Hose Nozzle and Car Wash Dispenser...LOVE IT!!
Hydro'd after, used Nero on Trim and Tires. I'm still on weight lifting restrictions and my Tire Care Stuff is up on a higher shelf in a bin, so not easily accessable.
Hubby will be away all this next Week, so maybe I can get some real Car Detailing done!!
No...No...No...we're aren't moving!!
RJ- sounds good that you feel energetic after the wash!
washing cars is a good excerise.
yah, that 9pos nozzle is great.
since i was washing out in the sun i used my regular fireman's hose nozzle as i didnt want to spray soap and accidentally dry on the car making a quick wash a major paint repair.
i sure missed the narrow firing mode on the 9pos nozzle to get dried bird poop off.

Sounds like a hat I ordered in March, sat back ordered with an unknown tie of becoming available, well one of the companies distributors all of the sudden started carrying them, so I ordered it last Friday and it's supposed to arrive this coming Friday, which looks like it could be annoying timing.
yah, kinda like that. the one i ordered this time is slightly more expensive than the other one i ordered the other place, but this new one has real leather cousion and all and it's a better deal overall.
plus it's satin ebony with spade legs. very important.

btw, i heard that walmart has the mobil1's again for $21.99.
going to get me 3 jugs this week.
This past week I've been working on a gigantic art piece, two drawings. It's done now.

I need to head to Fedex Office.

something to look forward to just in time for the holiday.
so yesterday i put a little dab of CF (simulated) goodness on my Z's steering wheel. i have more CF bits coming in but no one made this little piece so i just made it on my own.

boring trim...

CF trim...

Hm. I don't love that particular vinyl, but it does look better than what was there!
Josie is shiny clean today. I need to go clay off some paint transfer I acquired at a soccer game from someone's lawn chair
But no dent/scratch, at least...it should come right up.

i got some of this stuff coming to me this week and will do the gauge pod hats in the z.
if i would've known or had access to this stuff while i had the r53, definitely would've done the bonnet strips.
or even the a-pillars.

paint it to your custom colors.
actually my old MINI's interior bits like the shifter trim and other were painted graphite metallic. looked great with the other CF bits.
now if i had this NiDoc CF sheets back then, i would've just wrapped it in this. just heat it and contours to the trim.
