Must be summer, busy here
i think it was the Griot's free bucket that caused all of this.
anyone have experience with DZ101's? are they as sucky as the Ziex912's?
Winning in slots is pretty easy in my experience. Play off of other people's losses and the odds. If you troll around the slots, you'll typically be able to find someone "married" to a machine - sitting at the same machine and playing. Watch them - what you want is to find someone who has fed a BUNCH of money to one machine without a big payout. So maybe they've fed it a couple hundred bucks and have only gotten back 20 or less.... keep watching. You can even sit at the machine next to them and chat them up. "Hey, is that machine paying?" "Well, I was up right after I started, but I've been here 30 minutes and it won't pay anymore" Wait for them to give up and leave. Then play that machine. The odds are in your favor now. I've won hundreds of bucks that way pretty consistently.
is that how you pay for your parts on the blimey mobile? secret income from wifey.

ok, so i decided to just do the Fusion tires for now. man sounds like a shitola set of tires i hope they are as decent as the reviews on TR says... hope to see the new set of wheels for my FitS by Wed/Thurs...
can't be any worse than the ziex912's, right?

I wanted S-Drives too. But I want them in a 205/50/16. I haven't looked to see if they have any left or not, but I have a local dealer that's cheaper than TR is anyway. If I can't get the S-Drives I'm going to get a set of the same ones I have now, Kumho ASXes. They've held up pretty well, I have to say, for a cheap-*** set of tires.
ML- I think its only the tuner sizes that TR is currently out of.
.
Gotz a confirmation from Alex that my wheels shipped. Hope to see them tomorrow.
Still can't find a buyer for the ugly Rota wheels. 15x6.5" 4x100 +38mm. Has 195/50/15 on them right now... Anyone want it?

well the wheels/tires arrived in-time before the rainage so i didnt get wet.
but now i hope it doesnt rain when i roll them into my garage...
high humidity + cool dry garage + open garage door = fogged up hobby cars.

hey guys, my freshly detailed and freshly stormed on
with dangling dead worms FitS... with new wheels.
no more ROTAlia ugliosa wheels!
my picts dont do
justice. they look so much nicer in person.
they are the TR brand cheezo wheels with Fusion ZRi.
the fusion's are 10x better as far as grip vs Ziex912...
and they aren't even broken in yet.
i questioned myself why i was driving on Ziex912's for
the last frikken 1.5yrs.
the fusions are made in
Japan probably at the same sumitomo factory that
makes all high-end tires for Dunlop/Goodyear, etc.
ALEX at Tirerack IS DA MAN!!!

Well... it's about damn time we saw your FitS, Ken !
I like those wheels... sharp. And the FitS isn't too bad either, although it looks a bit like a minivan in Munchkin World.
I'm currently waiting for a reply from Alex at Tire Rack for wheel/tire recommendations.

i sent him a linky for here.
Hey, All... I've been looking at some white wheels for my CR Cooper. I have a wheel and tire combo picked out. Thought I'd run these by you and get your opinions before I pull the trigger.
For the wheels:

And for the tires:

Paul, I believe I read in a thread where you run these tires on your MINI and you seemed to like them. Still liking them now ??
I plan to hang onto my OEM wheels and the All-Season tires for the winter months.

As far as wheels I think the 17's would look good if your ride is lowered.
If not lowered I think they offer either a 48mm or 50mm...id go with those offsets. And keep the width 7".
As far as tires... NO to Nitto!
personally I would never buy another Falken or Nitto tire. I've had bad experience each time. Poor performance, unpredictable breakloose point especially in the wet, etc. Not sure about the Neo's but there are much better tires out there, I thinks.
how about some S-Drives? Or even try the Fusions. I think I actually like the Fusions for wat they are.

No ?? I've read good things about the Nitto's here on NAM. Now... when I asked Alex from Tire Rack for a recommendation, he offered up the Fuzion ZRI as an option and also the Sumitomo HTRZ2. When I read their reviews on his site, they were mixed.
Thanks for your input, ken.
BTW, here's another wheel I'm considering, although I think it may be a PITA to wash:

I would definitel go with Team Dynamics over the Konigs.
If you're running 16x7 I think+45mm would look ok, but would still appear lifted if you run summer tires in 205/50/16.
In that sense you may want to look at all-season tires for the rounded shoulders. It will definitely not look lifted... Pirelli P6 four seasons come to mind! Only thing is you need to trim off th little injection needles (excess) on your own.
it's not too bad, I had them long time ago. Grips very well for A/S tires rounded shoulders, soft sidewall for quiet and comfy ride.
