hey welcome back blimey and CR&PW&BJ! sounds like you guys had a great time. (while i was grinding heavily at work ).

so i cleaned up the FitSW on Sat morning before the sun was too strong using SprayOn CarWash. i was too lazy to pull out the hose. then WindowCleaner'ed the glass. Clarity is too good to be used on outside glass or dd's for that matter.

went motoring in my G as well, did a full SpeedShine and SprayOn CarWax afterwards. looks great. i was pumping gas and some guy came up to me and complimented me about my 'new Infiniti'. well, thanks...it's 5yrs old. he was like

shall motor my MCS this coming Sat weather permitting.

My car has those water spots as well. I think I'm gonna give it its spring detailing later today.

Thank you, Ken. And yes, I'm sure you were really busting your butt while we were having all that fun.

Yep... that's one of the coolest things about being an OCDetailer: Having people express their shock when you tell them your car is "X" years old and it still looks like it's a day old.

hahaha. hummm... ok, not really. just had a lot of meetings to attend including customer visits.

yah, but my neighbors tell people 'but ken never drives it' so they ruin the surprise.

That looks great! I kinda wish I started with Amigo first. Oh well maybe for my pre-winter prep. By then I'll have put about 2500 miles on Spike.

rixter- no need to use amigo unless you have light swirls or haze. most hazes can be covered well with waxes anyway.

keep a good coat of Hydro on there at all times.

is that a nice way of saying 'hey blimey, you missed that turn and fell into a ditch!'

No off-road excursions this time. Too much pretty stuff to break off now.

Yep - I detailed the car at the show then ran and hid.
Nah, had to go register and get my T-shirts - and then gnatster started chewing my ear off... and my kid wanted ice cream... and we got back and it was OVER. Really wanted to talk to some folks and take some pics (I took ZERO pics at the car show...).

And, yep, I had a couple of people SHOCKED that my car has 52,000 miles on it and is a daily driver. That part IS fun.

Paul's photo reminds me...

Last year after coming back from the Dragon, Roxanne just HAD to have a CAI and cat-back exhaust on her MINI.

This year, she saw MINIs with the frond end splitter and now that's what she HAS to have.

If MOTD was once a month, her MINI would be modded as much as mine.

nice pict, blimey.

CR&PW&JB - hahaha that's funny.

on my car im not sure if there's really anything else i want to put on it. that wingtip is probably the very last bit unless my stock shocks blow and need to get some koni yellow's. might replace the springs too while im at it if that time ever comes.

Yum.... some of the Dragon photogs' pics are starting to go up.

Here I am doin' the dew on Saturday... this was the only run I did with the top down - I had just done a run and it stopped raining - I quickly QD'd the car and did a top-down run because I know the photogs were out there...

Ref the Ininity comment, that's what happens when it's still got less than the average drivers worth of miles on it after 5 years

Yeah... I've said it before... it's easy keeping a car looking new when it doesn't know what rain is, and it thinks the garage is its natural habitat.

I went through three oem blades (as you say --- free), but now that my car is out of warranty I bought the PIAA silicone blades from Tirerack. I'll give a report after a few months of use. Yes, the MINI wipers don't seem to last long before they crap out.

Bosch Icons. Because it's not about how well they wipe. It's about how good they look.

But they wipe pretty well, also.

And I get about a year out of a set if I treat them with 303.

We all figured you had deleted yours

Ditto on the Bosch Icons

Got my tour schedule for June-July. 6 cities in 7 weeks. Dallas, Atlanta, Toronto, home 4th of July week, then L.A., Atlantic City, Chicago. 5 days in each city, home 2 days a week, Mon-Tues, then back out again. I think I have 1 1/4 hours in each town to sight-see 16 hour day$
