wooo~ so it's custom. nice.

yah, those turnbuckles are pretty pricey but adds a nice touch.

placed my order to outmotoring for some shirts and wiper refills.
do the rear only come in the whole assembly arm? wasn't
expensive so ordered that but was hoping i couldve just gotten refills. oh well.

dang, JAL managed to suck a baggage container in their 747 engine at LAX.

sorry for the passengers but man that has got to be embarrassing.
i think they were concentrating too much on swine flu and not paying attention to where they were 'driving.'

so, thanks to Narita's paranoia my wife and kids have decided to
postpone their trip to japan. they were suppose to fly tomorrow.
one reason why im so f-king pissed at Japan right now. my wife was
looking forward to this trip for the last year. my kids have some sniffles
and for sure the paranoid officials will stop them from entering Japan...
forcing them into a quarentine hotel for 10 frikken days.
that's a $400 schedule change fee too.

im sad for them, im sad for my parents that were looking forward to
seeing my kids, sad for my nieces and nephew they cant see their
cousins. and sad that i can't have some quiet time.

Damn, ken... bummer !!

Not surprised though... Japan, as a whole, is always overly-cautious when it comes to airborne illnesses. My son has a summer cold now... guess I should quarantine him for 10 days, too.

Could you not re-schedule for a month from now or sometime when you could be confident the sniffles would be gone ?

yah, the problem is from all the readings and hearsay,
japan is using birdflu protocols (60% death rate) for
swineflu... while we in Chicagoland (known to Japan as
ground zero DEATH ZONE in the US due to 4-5
japanese students getting a light dosage of swine )

officials are super sensitive. you show a mild sign of
even a common cold, they will stop you, tie you up and
hang you up-side-down for 10 days with no water and
meals to see if you snort.

the problem with re-schedules is that, as you know since
you are a parent, kids get sick all the time. there's no
such thing as a planned no-sick week. and she's
flying on milage myself and her dad accumulated so
not so easy to rebook on the days most convenient.

until Japan gets off its ignorance box, i think it will be
pretty pita to go into Japan by air. so i told her to go by
boat. (very long nice quiet vacation
for dad)

was hoping to oil the foam intake filter this am and
mount it back on the car, but it's raining outside. and
too stinky with new mulch. i didnt feel
like rolling next to cow crapola while doing the FitS's
oil change.

good news is that it stormed hard last night (so i heard
from the wife ) and the mulch dust and smell has
settled down a little bit. i was in my music room with
my headphones on so couldn't hear a thing.

i was noted by our village newsletter that there are
several communities doing garage sales this weekend
and our area is also invited. which means i
wont be able to work on my cars cause i dont want some
werdo from across town coming up into my garage by
accident. jk

so, im thinking about doing a sidewalk sale for my old
junk i have stored away. maybe someone will take
the stock MCS catback? i'll just tell em'
'yes, it's universal design. fits any car even your....'

Those guys at Griot's... you never know what they're going to do next.

On the other hand, Must Be Spring, Busy Around Here.

Put down 4 cubic yards of mulch today. What a dirty, sweaty job. But boy, do the planting beds every look nice now.

A ton of stone to put down on my front yard bed but that'll have to wait a week or so. The back is barking at me.

Besides, going to a ML baseball game tomorrow and Sunday is a MINI run and lunch with one of the local clubs. Busy, busy, busy !!

CR&PW&JB- dang, that's a lot of mulch. you forgot dirty, sweaty, AND STINKY job.

our landscapers did ours earlier this week and man it stunk real bad. as mentioned in the earlier post it rained so the stink and dust is somewhat undercontrol now.

hey, sounds like you got a fun & busy weekend coming up!
