i removed the bazooka out of my G last night. i dont listen to music
in this car so why even have it. the Bose system with my Polk

was playing the stereo in my G pretty loud late last night in the garage
for about an 1hr while the battery tender was charging the car. car was
fully recharged by the time i looked at the charger this am. not bad!
i like how it automatically detects drain and starts charging and floats all
on its own.

We are having a clear bra put on the Pilot this weekend. They actually come to the house and do it in my garage - cool. So Friday I will need to de-wax and de-swirl the areas to be covered. Oh heck, might as well do the whole car. Then after they are done it will be time for Amigo & Epic in preparation for the winter.
Supposed to snow up in the high-country this weekend so summer is over!

Well after a week of having the 15% I've been noticing that the MPGs are going up! Because we had to replace the battery the MPG indicator on the onboard computer reset itself, how convenient. At first I was getting about 18 MPG average, but each day I drive it it keeps going up...now up to about 23 MPG...and I've only driven a 1/2 tank of gas! Hopefully I will get up to 25 or so soon. The ECU seems to be adapting nicely.

Oh yeah, there were bugs like no other! Not to mention my grills seem to attract moths and the like.

Maybe I should start motoring in the morning at around 7:30 or 8:00 since it would be just as nice but less bugs...hmm..

try 6:30am. much cooler, air is much nicer, less folks on the road, and
less bugs. and less stupid bicycle riders...

btw, Hydro was attracting these tiny orange/red bugs per my buddy
that lives out in LA. something with the sweet smell of that spray.
he would come out of work and find these dead bugs ALL OVER the
car, he said. he thought it was orange dust but upon closer inspection,
dead bugs.

he stopped using hydro, and no more bugs.

Well hydro is orange.

That is really strange...

BTW, I am having issues with my black trim now that I put BW on it...there is a serious static charge now that collects dust big time. What should I do?

Maybe they're Fruit Flies since Hydro smells just like peaches.

you rubbed too much when you applied BW. just use some QD or even
water and wipe off the dust.

tried it on the G's seat belt. haven't taken her out on a spin.

initial thoughts... craftsmanship is kind of a pos looking especially
on a nicer car's leather interior but it's definitely functional.
easy to install. i kinda worry how well the seatbelt weaves would
hold up to the CG's tension roller. quite a bit of friction there to
hold the belt tight.

going to take some wenol and polish the metal in a few.

Woo Hoo! Clearbras and pulleys and CG locks, OH MY!

I've driven about 700 miles so far this week... those 2hr commutes (each way) to my customer site are killer.... finding all kinds of nice back roads, though... got done early today and stopped by my dealer and they were able to change my leaky thermostat while I waited... no charge. Nice.

Experienced a kenchan nightmare this morning.... got behind a truckload of thousands of little piglets going 70mph down the interstate on their way from the piglet nursery to the hog farm.... with piglet poop spray flying out the back in every direction...

Reminds me of an old saying - when behind a pig truck, keep your mouth closed (or was that keep your top up?).

My new quest - MC40 seats! Know anyone who wants to get rid of theirs?
My seat covers have really taken a beating this summer and have faded frightfully. So I need to either get new covers (expensive), remove the covers and go al naturale (boring) or find some red leather seats (MC40).
Guess I could take a spray can to the cloth seats.

A guy in one of the clubs down here had a custom upholsterer recover his seats in black leather with red insets and stitching. They're FANTASTIC. Much thicker and nicer leather than the MINI leather. My driver's seat is starting to wear along the edge where I slide in/out... I was thinking about Okole's... but after seeing his new seats, that's the route I'm going to go eventually. The whole works in his car was about $1400 if I recall, front and rear. It's really breathtaking. PM ARTSJCW.... he may have some pics.

Probably someone in your area who can do the same work.

piglet spraying will end up in revege via nice tonkatsu dinners.

pulled out the harness in my G that was connecting the bass-tube and
will put it up for sale later on. It's the smallest powered bazooka bass tube.
effective unit.
