Self cleaning cycle turns cheese to ash. Then wipes (or vacs) right out.

Get though Tuesday - then climb 4,000 feet to the cool crisp mountain air.
MITM starts on Wednesday!

Picked up a buddy and motored to a business meeting, top down (wasn't scorching hot yet this AM).

First time he ever sat in a MINI. Knows pretty much nothing about MINIs. He had just gotten through telling my how "cute" Boddington the Bulldog is on my dash.

As I hit it and turned a corner tight and fast he said, with new found respect, "Wow... Love it.... this thing's as solid as you could want a car to be...."

^ That's great! Reminds me of one of my favorite MINI commercials:

That's one of my favorites, too. Although I still like the one with the dueling modder neighbors the best.

I like the MINI commercial with the pop can exploding.
The MINI always takes unsuspecting people off-guard. "Wow, I didn't know it could go that fast" is a common statement.

I wound up doing a much needed interior clean of the MINI today. While I was at it I cleaned/oiled my Alta CAI filter too. The dealer only had BMW JB paint so I had them order some MINI paint...should be picking that up later this week.

I could definitely feel the effect of cleaning the filter- it was pretty darn dirty!

I'm pretty sure BMW and MINI Jet Black are the same color.

But, anyting with "MINI" on the label has to be higher on the cool meter.

Definitely!

However, the guy said that they were different glosses or something like that. I would definitely have gone with the BMW stuff if it was the same as MINI...but it sounded different, so I didn't want to take the chance.

To note: For anyone thats interested...I tried to take some pics of the new front of the MCS today but the lighting was terrible- overcast with a bad glare.

I figured I'd just take a pic and put it in the sig for now, and pick a better day later.

Washed the Pilot tonight. Anyone want to buy a very new Black Pilot?
CRPWBETTERMANTHANMEJB - I can't keep it clean. Just pulling in from the driveway to the garage it got dirty. It also has swirls, but I can get rid of those. My gawd this color is going to be the death of me.

Chuck... if I drove mine daily, it would be the death of me, too.

It's an unforgiving color, that's for sure. But when it's polished and waxed, there's nothing like it.

Ps. Wash your driveway !!
