so i was able to pull out my G on Sat as planned and worked on fixing the fender on my FitS.

here's wat the fender looked like before...

here's wat it ended up looking like at the end... oh wait, wrong face.

PDR FTW! i could not get the smaller longer
dent in the fender lip because the fender metal is tucked
under there but it's not really noticable unless i point it
out so who cares. no one looks at my car that closely
anyways.

i also pulled out my 3" RO from Griot's and some Polish1,
2, and 3 to remove all of the paint transfer and scuffage
from the other car that bumped into me.

it's not a perfect fix but it looks good enough for daily use.

Ken, if you ever get fired from your current job (likely possibility, only a matter of time until they find you outside detailing your car during work hours), you have a second career to fall back on.

I think she is one of the elements dirtifying my house! at least a lot of the scuff

I'm beat!
who's Drew again? "both" MINI's? you have two
MINI's now??? but you only oiled one K&N
filter? wat about the other MINI's K&N filter? wat, your car has running hot water?

GL with the sale of your home. Are you moving to another town or in the neighborhood?

I'm thinking of reducing by major detailing (PC/Polish) to once a year instead of every six months.

Having a bad back will make you less OCD.

yah, cal-duster does haze the paint a little bit especially
noticable at the top curve just under the windows.
but it's effective and so convenient that i still use that
after each run. I stopped polishing my MCS and only
use Amigo these days. it's great for hiding the hazing
from cal-dusterage.

yah, Amigo is the way to go after the once a year polish
too.

We were trying to sell our house, even had 2 contracts on other house, but we lost both of them, as our offers were contingent on the sale of our house. We had some interest in our place, but no offers, so we have taken it off the market.

a dd, i was like why not use it until it's really dead...
being a tad too consciuos for a kenchan but oh well.

i'll take picts of the car later AFTER REMOVING THE
DAMN CENTER CAPS THEY PUT ON.

i see... perhaps you can try again in a year or so. i know a few people around my
neighborhood was planning to sell their homes and
all failed due to the economy... banks are
aparantly 'smarter' now too not to lend money
to people that have literally no income to buy ahouse?

If the clay I ordered from OG gets here today, I plan on giving the Clubman the full spa treatment tomorrow. If it does not get here, I'll just wash/Hydro for our club's spring run (likely in the rain) on Saturday.

Grrrr.

Picked up a door ding in the past 24 hours. right below and in front of the door handle, in an extremely visible spot. It's small, but noticeable. Gotta shake up the can of PDR and spray some on.

True to form - summer tires went on last weekend and now 12-16" of snow tomorrow. Even had to postpone our Sandy Crack Rallye down to the Sand Dunes National Monument.
Summer - I think not!

I washed and Hydroed the MINI this morning.

Man, I am really enjoying the ceramic pads with the white wheels. I thought the dramatic decrease in brake dust everyone talked about was just hyperbole, but no, much much less dust!

I don't know how many of you are heavily effected by this pollen, but here in upstate SC I am about to lose my mind! I got my MINI just in time for it. I wipe it down multiple times a day with a 'california duster' because I can't stand seeing the pollen.

I'm a detail freak at 18, been raised that way. (Saturdays were always car washing day growing up, had to do it right). I can't wait to get some of the hydro stuff all of you seem to go crazy for. We have a really cool local business that makes all their own cleaning supplies for any situation so my father as a wall of supplies. Any new problem he just takes one of the cars up there and in no time they will have a solution to clean it.

Where do you all buy hydro at? Walmart/autozone?

Anyways, I'll probably wear the paint off my new MINI detailing it twice a week. My grey wheels don't appear to show brake dust, until I clean them and see the big difference, so I wipe them down a lot too.

We haven't hit pollen season yet. Usually comes in May/June.

I bought Hydro at detailersparadise.com. There aren't a whole lot of places that sell it. I'd also recommend Wheel Armour for the wheels. Makes cleaning the brake dust off much easier.
