Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahaha.....

No hurry here, Paul. Not leaving for the Dragon until Thursday morning. Besides, given the number of partially herniated discs in my back and neck, better to be able to drive to the Dragon than to spend that time in the ER... again.

Also have to find time to mow the lawn, make a run to Lowe's for a load of stuff, and watch some of the NFL draft this afternoon.

yah, was pretty sunny this am so i pulled out G. only to be hit by rain about 1hr into my drive.

so used my Griot's SprayOn Car Wash and SprayOn wax, Slicked the wheels
and Clarity'ed the glass and placed my gallon orders to DP.

while refilling my SpeedShine, etc. one of the Griot's spouts started leaking
at the neck. pulled out the seal and re-fitted... still leaks. so used the disposable paper funnel from Griot's.

washing my MF towels now. man that SprayOn CarWash is a must
have.

... now it's sunny again. ...

Hey there now, Heather said it was OK to take your time.

Well I got Poco done, but I'm going to hold off for a week before doing the Clubman, there is lots of pollen falling right now, and it was a pain keeping it off Poco as I was working on him.

To many sports played with reckless abandon when I was younger... football, basketball, baseball, racquetball, volleyball...with no concern for my body. Oh... and my knees and hips are getting worse with arthritis and all four joints will need to be replaced in the next ten years (I'd bet good money on it).

And I'm still in my 40s.

Superglue... some staples... maybe a couple of 16 penny nails. I'll be good to go.

OK - QD'd, clayed, taped, removed side scuttles and cowl vents and license plate & bracket, BW'd black trim. Breaking for lunch. Time to polish this afternoon. Everytime I do this it reminds me of another reason I like the cabrio... a lot less surface area to clay and polish and wax....

And yeah ken, Amigo rocketh.

I just spent 30 minutes with the cowl vents, cotton swabs, and my bottle of Black Wow. You don't appreciate just how many honeycombs there are in those cowl vents until you start individually Black Wowing each of them.

Wait 10 years, then you will know how I feel Yeah sports took some toll on my body, plus years of hauling heavy stuff, climbing up partially finished structures, and crawling around on my knees installing stage floors.

I was installing some pull out shelves in a new pantry unit in the kitchen the other day, and was all scrunched up getting myself into the cabinet, and the next couple of days my hip felt like a horse had kicked it. No I have never been kicked by a horse, but the cows I got kicked by as a kid probably were probably pretty close.

This is why one of us needs to figure out a way to spray that stuff

Ha ! Mark, I've been kicked by a few cows in my younger days, too. Neighbors had 1200 acres of dairy farm land and a few hundred head of dairy cows. I used to help out and more than one time got kicked by one of those huge beasts.

The only problem with trying to spray on BW... it's too darn expensive to let the mist evaporate into the air. It was tedious work but my cowl vents sure look good now.

Hint.... Adam's Undercarriage Spray works wonders on black stuff... and sprays on and air dries... I'm going to try it on my rear bumper faux grilles - used BW on them last time with the Q-Tip...

I used the Adam's in my wheel wells this morning. It is good stuff but I smelled grapes for three hours afterwards.

You like that stuff enough to use it on your cowl vents... more so than Black Wow ? Or do you use it only because it's so much easier to apply ?

I gave up all those sports and switched to golf when I hit 32 years old. Too late though, the damage was done. Golf wasn't exactly good for my back though.

Now... my sport is OCDetailing.

Yeah - Adams is best used when you can leave the car overnight and let it air out.

I haven't tried it on the vents yet... I'm just saying, it sprays on, and it turns stuff black.... I know it doesn't last as long as BW, but it may be a good solution for stuff like the cowls... my cowls are nice and black without any treatment... but my bumper grilles need something, so I'll try Adams. I'll have results of the test at MOTD.

OK... Swirl Done. Started on Amigo. Headed back out there to finish Amigo before dinner. Then Epic after dinner...

Yeah, my lower bumper grille could use some help, too. Adams is probably the best solution for that. Might try it as well and we can compare notes at the Dragon.

Yah, engine bays can be like cleaning a toilet or tub or tiles, imho. Especially when neglected over the winter (ie: my dd's) I'm kinda scared to pop the hood... Kinda like popping open a public toilet. You never know what you might be in there. Its a surprise.

hahaha, yah I get my weekly exercise from detailing... But with my cheezo dd's these days I've become lazy and wash my car in the rain. Literally rain water is carwash.

unless it's filthy I don't wash the cars any more. I need to upgrade my dd for my health. Wonder how that's going to fly during wife-negotations. oh wait, my wife's going to be gone for a week next month. What perfect timing.

Nay, no surprise here, been under both bonnets, they are yucky by my standards, but gardening was way more pleasant

OK... I'm tired now.... Swirl, Amigo, de-tape, Epic, re-Wow DONE.

I always forget how dang good the car looks after doing the full treatment... and that's in the garage, in bad light, with fresh Epic. Tomorrow in the sun I'll be saying something like "holy carp my car has never look this good before..."

Gotta do the interior tomorrow - lexol leather in the AM, nourish leather in the PM. 303 dash, nero everything else, Q-Tip the nooks and crannies. I bought the killer Griot's swab combo pack a while back - so I have much better swab selection now...

Oh yeah... and Adam's my bumper grilles.

Will BG sometime between now and Thursday...
