Well I think I'm all done with the kitchen, and the gardening is pretty much taken care of for awhile. So today I'm starting the full meal deal of detailing both MINIs. This will likely take me 2-3 days, so as per normal for me, I'm going to work each section from wash/clay to polish/Amigo/Epic, I do it this way so that all sections/panels are complete before moving to the next, I tend to get distracted, and or something comes up and interrupts me. Going to start on Poco today, and hopefully have them both done by the end of the weekend.

I'm looking forward to giving OG's onegrip a full workout, plus trying out those new clay removal towels.

I pulled my bumper back off and installed the turnbuckles for my splitter last night, and did a little more PDR-in-a-can work on one spot.

Will be doing the full monty BW / clay / polish / epic / BG / Nero / Nourish detail this weekend...

Me, too. Might go into Monday and Tuesday, too. Little at a time, due to my bad back/neck.

Unlike Mark, I don't do a panel at a time with all the products. It would take me two weeks that way.

Another reason I do it that way is our cars live in a carport, not a garage, so I don't want to leave sections unprotected between sessions. As long as they don't get dirty, I don't need re-wash them at the start of each session.

hahaha! painting calipers imho is pretty fast and bi-courious.
painting drums red is taking that to a whole new level.

wat i use to do was polymer one section of the car while
using Hydro on the other, comeback the following day/week
to finish the hydro'ed only section. worked great. but then
Griot's PaintSealant is sooooooooo much easier to apply i
just do that instead these days.

lotise- you're welcome to buy my MCS but the a/c is dead.
it's been dead for the last 2yrs+. never really had the need
or urge to get it fixed after the dealer failed to fix it 4x already.

anyone know where i can get those fender trim strips?
it just came to me that i can cover up that FitS's fender
where i couldn't gain access during PDR with those
strips. the front wheel offset is aggressive so it
could do double duty!

First, I motor, not drive my MINI

Second, I consider you a friend, but not one in the inner circle, that's privy to knowing about my clothing habits

So I went ahead and cleaned the area missing paint on my FitS's front bumper from the fender bender using my RC car motor spray and touched it up.

looks pretty good. It was a fairly large area so used fresh factory paint in near-blob condition. 2 coats and looks like it filled pretty well too. Will re-apply after a week of drying.

Well I got Poco's roof done Spent about as much time on him, as I did just getting things into summer mode. Put all the bells and whistles on the PC, kind of getting used to that OneGrip thingy, good control, and WAY less stress on whichever hand it's on

Warm enough tonight to let the Epic simmer overnight

Oh, had to do some IT stuff around the house, the old fax/printer/scaner shot craps, installed a new one

Well been back at it a few hours now. Boot and bonnet are done, moving on to the doors, rear panels. One almost down, one to go

This is just the paint/black trim detail. Interiors are next.

Starting my pre-MOTD full detail this morning. Today's agenda...

Black Wow.

PS21 Wash.

Clay.

Taping.

Tomorrow will be Swirl Day.

Monday will be Amigo and a layer of Epic day.

Tuesday will be another layer of Epic day.

Wednesday will be Banana Gloss and pack the car for the trip day.

Glad I detailed the interior a couple weeks ago and go that out of the way. I don't enjoy detailing the interior much.

I'm compressing all that (including interior detail) into today and tomorrow. Wimp. You need to focus more.
