Selling the MINI to get something you'll actually drive?? LOL jk.
Hey I had the 16%, Alta CAI, Invidia exhaust and got back 10 pounds of torque and nearly 20hp. Yes, it's worth the money. But now I want the RMW Cam, lol, and another tune.

yah. i was wondering if Jan is really coming or not. i have that v42
flatspot around 3k RPMs that i could really live without.
plus i have
a 15%, CAI, and Milltek catback so im sure i'll benefit something...
but then again, i might be selling the car this Fall so not sure if i want to
shell out $600.

That's pocket change for kenchan. He spends that much in two weeks on Griots impulse buys.
HaHa that's like a winking can and a vac for the shop. i'm sure he has spent that a few times over on a garage he never drives. plus when he bought the everkink hose. i'm pretty sure he should be able to scrape up the change for this project.
no, it will be another car that will sit inside for no reason.

well, if im going to keep the car then it would definitely be
worth the money (i hope) and be my last opportunity before Jan starts
his contract with a racing team or watever and he wont be able to do
any more tune parties...
her.
dont you guys just love F-Days?
so i was spraying some white lithium lube spray into the garage door
bearings and shaft and everything was going well until i hit the spray button
a little too hard and the spray ricocheted into my face and quarter panel
of my G.
stupid stupid stupid.
for the G, paintprepped the contaminated area and Best of Showed.
removed the haze with SprayOn wax.
as for me, i took rubbing alcohol and just wiped my face with it.
im going to get me those oil dispensing needles from Griot's.

I'm getting one of these:

Very compact, mounting it in my Parcel Shelf such that I can take it out easily when I don't want it in there. Use a tow hook mount for a 4' fiberglass whip antenna - no paint marring, works with cabrio, etc. Motor On uses a similar unit with good success. I have a 20+ year old unit I just sat on my passenger seat last time... worked OK, but time for an upgrade.
If you REALLY don't want to look at it, you can do this:

All-in-one unit - one tiny box mounts behind the dash or under a seat, all visible parts of the radio (except antenna) are in the mic... and you can just unplug it from the interface box and remove it from the car when you don't want it...

I have a CB, from the 1970's!! Actually belongs to my dad but that is another story.
So I tested out some Amigo on a really bad scratch on my Moms Yukon. WOW, I forgot how well that stuff works. Here is a picture, the right half is what the scratch looks like before, left after. It was a bit deeper on the right side so it wasnt quite as large an improvement, but still very big.

On another note, I finally ordered the stuff to polish out the MINI. Griots Polish 3, orange pad, red pad, and some extra MF. Since I ordered from Outmotoring (better shipping prices) I also ordered G2 Caliper paint, which is something I have wanted to do for ages.

lol... well, not so fast. you amatures.
i ended up getting a old yogurt cup, sprayed WD40 in it until i had
about 1cm deep of product in there, used the red straw tip of those WD40
spray cans, dipped the tip while covering up the other end of the
straw tip with my thumb to pickup product. aimed at the hinge,
released my thumb.
how's that for $0.00.
then for the tension spring, i used a old paint brush, dipped the brush
into the wd40 and gently spread the oil over the top of the spring so
that it coated itself between each of the coils. again, $0.00.
so there. this is how you save money to buy other funner Griot's stuff.
