just got back from the super market where i found a pos new saturn parked
rediculously close to my legacy. i barely got my younger son's
infant seat through the door.

WTF is wrong with people driving a pos like a saturn?

so as expected, iso-t storms today making my car look dirtier than ever.

but i did wash my son's bicycle tires with him using some car shampoo,
boar's hair brush and a watering can without the nozzle. good controlled
flow of water to keep away from the chains and other parts.

No rain here today, must be a drought We normally get 38 inches of rain here in a year, we are already over 30 inches.

Gonna wash the wife's Accord today.

One panel was repainted a few weeks ago and the Honda folks said not to wax that area for a few months till it cures, I guess. Would it be OK to HYdro it?

ofioliti - actually no. hydro should not be used. let the paint breath for
at least a month with absolutely no wax for it to cure properly.

I agree. The paint needs to off-gas.

Nap time for me, been in the yard all day, 90+ temps, and I have to go to work later tonight to tear down and load out Mama Mia. At least the sun won't be beating on us.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, "feels like" 97 .

Need to move over to the chilled white wine. The reds aren't doing much for me.

100 degrees here today. Grrr.

My only motoring today was top-down to a Sunday AM urgent care this AM to sit in line with all the kiddies to get a prescription for antibiotics for the raging headsplitting ear infection I woke up with.

Starting to get a LITTLE better....

But nice thing about it being 90+ degrees in the garage... easy to pull the COOPER letters off the boot...

Replaced them with CABRIO...so now plate says "Blimey", badge says "Cabrio"...

Got up to 98 degrees here today and huuuuuuuuuuuuuumid ! Glad I washed the cars early, even though it was still stinkin' hot and sticky. One more to wash and I'll get it in the a.m. before I go to work.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and staying cool. It's really hot over a good portion of the country. Blech !

Yikes, Paul... ear infections are nooooooooooo fun. Those antibiotics will have you feeling better within a few days though.

I'm having some ENT issues going on myself. Gotta get myself to the doc.

It's funny how you folks in Maryland get our St. Louis weather about a day later.

Pretty much, you're right. Gets a little colder here in the winter, I think, but especially in the other seasons, our weather nearly matches yours, just a day or so later. So... hope you begin to cool off there REALLY soon !!!

It's warrrrm out! But too sunny to wash, so maybe if it cools off later, when the sun gets behind the hills.

So I did virtually nothing useful today, other than studying and doing laundry. I have my national board certification exam on Tuesday which I am moderately terrified about. I know exactly three people who have passed it on the first try. One of them is way smarter than me, the other two just studied their asses off. I don't know how you study for an exam that tests you on every aspect of medicine that you should know. Like either you know it or you don't.

Anyway.

So I went and had a fatty lunch (with sunroof-and-windows wide open motoring both ways ) and studied some more, and then I watched the Prefontaine Classic on TV and a little NASCAR, and I'm probably off to study some more. Bleh.

Thanks...I tend to test well, but this is a format I'm completely unfamiliar with, so we'll see what happens. Only something like 20% of candidates pass on the first try. A friend is taking it with me on Tuesday; this will be her third shot at it...

Got Matilda spiffied up today. Installed the new tires yesterday and washed. Put some BW in the wheel wells and waxed the wheels while I was at it. Only got to 72 degrees here today.

The new Cooper Zeons have a tread a lot like the Dunlop run-flats, but man are they grippy. We'll see how they last at MITM in August.
