Note that Some Guy didn't really polish out the scratch (which really looks more like a deep swirl)... but Amigo fills & conceals quite well, as this demonstrates... But hitting it with Swirl first, then finishing with Amigo would yield a perfect mirror finish...
Yeah, pretty much. WD-40 is pretty much just kerosene. Great "squeak stopping" power... but only temporary. Why I always use spray lubes that have teflon in them...

Trust me it is a scratch. It go put on the car while driving one of the beaches on Nantucket. In fact it is deep enough on the right side that I can catch my nail in it ever so slightly. Still though, Amigo even did an admirable job filling that part.
PS: The stuff below the "before" box that looks like swirling is actually dried Amigo I hadn't buffed off yet.
Did you apply by hand or machine? If by machine, there's enough abrasive in Amigo that it probably polished the "haze" outta the scratch some, down to clear clearcoat... so didn't only fill it, probably. Not enough abrasive to "remove" a scratch, but enough to smooth it out and make it much less noticeable. Plus the fillers.
I changed my oil the other day. I think this was the fourth time with the MINI---went a lot smoother with the filter housing this time ... just three attempts.

wine during that oil change didn't you?
100 degrees here, every day. Plus I have a cold. Sucks.
Good news is that Blimey is still clean from last wash... probably just dust and QD if I feel like it. Wish I was rich and had an air-conditioned garage...
