Why would they have an issue with the lift? They are not permanent. No hydraulics other than a jack.

yah, trust me, there are some folks here that have too much time on their hands and will report to the village.

i had a few times village folks come in telling me i can't run a commercial
car shop at my residence... this was after some old fart came by telling me
the same thing. im like i dont run a shop here, these are my cars, and
yes, on occasion i do work on my buddy's cars but it's out of the norm.
it's all a hobby and i dont make any unnecessary noise or have any parties
or anything.

Man, I went to visit a friend down at UConn this weekend. Had the car in his parking lot from Fri night to Sun morning and when I went to head home I had literally about 15 bird ***** on it. Luckily it was nice so I gave it a wash when I got home, but man, what an embarrasing ride home!

you admit that you drove home with 15 BCE's on your car that had been caked on for more than 48hrs and think you are ok to post here in the
detailing forum?

ULTIMATE FAIL

22yrs olds these days are not as smart as they once were...

Don't get me started about folks whining about things you do in your own yard. We A had complaint about our wildflowers, they were flowing onto the city sidewalk a little. Now all kinds of folks would stop and say how wonderful they looked, even the Mayor. But we cut them back, and those same folks were aghast, one even wrote a letter to the local paper about the issue. We had 2 Elms dying in our yard and knew we needed to have them taken down, well before we could get around to it, yup, another letter from city hall City hall was great, said take your time, seems there is one cranky pants who complains about everything. Well the trees are gone today, and Lois will probably be posting a sign in the yard letting cranky pants know she is now safe

In other news, Poco now has his stainless steel brake lines installed. No pedal fade, ABS does not make the pedal shudder, and the piece of mind knowing it would take some major road debris to rip them off.

Cause kenchan dissed him. Though I'm confident kenchan was just being funny in his oh-so-superior kenchan way.

And now for something completely different....

I saw an Audi R8 at lunch today... looked perfect, no swirls (yet)...
the guy had it parked in a regular space, right between a minivan and an SUV at the Mongolian BBQ, and didn't even sit where he could watch it. Even though there were wonderful end spots available, and there were tables where he could have kept an eye on his car...

The only thing worse that someone with enough money for an R8 is someone who has enough money for an R8, and who treats it like "it's just a car"... putz.

I wish I didn't have too. But I feel pathologically compelled to do so.

akkkk..!! tu13 knows im kidding. althought i HIGHLY recommend
anyone that luvs their cars to carry a simple BCE gear... polymerQD,
paper towels, MF towels, disposable gloves, ziplock bag (for trash or
towels to be washed). if you have a small bottle of rubbing alcohol that
would be even better to disinfect your hands with the paper towel.

bird crappage is worse than getting dings on the car... cause there is
a time limit before crap etches through paint. dings can be repaired
when the driver wants to do it.

yah, some folks just buy/lease cars for the image. they dont care or
know anything about why the car they drive is so great or not. like
me playing tug of war with my kids with a large towel... ended up it
was my wife's burberry blanket. ooops.

Yeah, I'd forgotten my QD and MF cloths at home since I was doing the whole wash with white vinegar thing. Also, I can't remember ever getting bird **** on my car, ever. And then somehow I got 15 on it in 2 days. w.t.f.

This is commonly the scene in my parking lot at work:

so i got the WERFEN center caps for the G's SSR GT3's. super lucky
for me (just was not a good day for me yesterday), they dont fit.

oh well... im asking the unthinkable in japanese culture to "return" these
but the store already said no. im asking for their help again to talk to their
supplier cause i did note the specs of my wheels before ordering. imho,
they should've known if they would fit or not.

it's either 230+ down the drain, or just keep it on my workbench as
bling, or just get a 135i and get some WERREN wheels without caps.
