Yeah, I know the sheeting technique. I did that, and once I'd pulled the car into the garage I realize there was still a buttload of water on the roof. I was all but I probably just accidently shot water all over the roof after I'd rinsed it off. Oh well.

i see. i suppose if it's on your sunroof glass you can use the blade to
rid some of that water. i prefer not to use it though.

Same here. I'll probably just do what I did before, and maybe make a better effort to sheet some more water off.

yah, my hose nozzle is like within 5 inches to the paint while sheeting
the water off especially on the roof.

No kidding. It's at the point where it's been so long that part of me doesn't expect it to *ever* come. :P

I'm working on selling my current car and will hopefully have that gone soon. Once it's gone then I'll *really* be itching for the MINI.

Just got back from a weekend in the mountains. Driving on some of my favorite roads in the general area of the Dragon.... in our minivan.... at half my normal speed... with my wife still about to barf.... the trip was fun (camping, hiking, rafting...), but the twisties, not so much....

Yep, my SO has a weak stomach, too, and it took some of the fun out of driving The Dragon. Still a lot of fun, but could have been even MORE fun.

Glad to see you back, Blimey Paul !

It's been a while since I drugged a woman , but I think this would be justifiable.

welcomeback blimey.

i made a bet with my buddy that i would make him sick within 3min of me
carving through the santa monica canyons in my heavily modded prelude
back in the days. only took less than 1min and he was ready to hurl in the
passenger seat. the lateral g on that car was incredible.

I almost gave an old family friend a heart attack on the FIRST corner in the MINI... literally... nobody told me he had a heart condition... gotta post a warning decal on the dash.... dude just sat in a chair pale-faced for half an hour after the drive until everything got back in order.... scary...

Whenever my in-laws were in town, if I had to make a run to Home Depot or somewhere else to pick something up, my f-in-law would ALWAYS tag along.... he's a great guy, but sometimes you get too much togetherness, eh?

So the last time he went with me, we took the MINI, and I took a 90 degree "35mph" curve at 70. He left a skid mark and, after we got home and he changed his shorts, swore to never ride with me again. Perfect plan, perfectly executed.
