Cadfael-tex will not be posting for a while - he's in a coma from BW toxicity - mmmm, it's so good - almost as tasty as hydro.

The problem I'm guessing is that his rubber molding is rather rough and it snags the microfiber and leaves lint. I've run into a few MINIs that have had the same issue and the best you can do is to lightly blot dry or avoid it all together.

Right, this is exactly what I'm seeing.

How could I have missed all the fun today!!! lol. You might want to try another MF applicator pad. I've also encountered some MF Skinny's that lint while most don't lint at all.

hummmm... more rain here today. hope tomorrow am i can pull
my MCS out for some motoring...

since i cleaned out the basement over the laborday weekend, i have a
GIGANGOUS pile of folded boxes and garbage bags to toss out tonight.
not looking forward to that...

so my wife's having some serious lower back pain from driving my legacy
so i am thinking about getting a small wgn for her on sat. Only problem
is, FitSport would've been my choice but none of the dealers have any
in stock, and a used Fit Sport 07 with 14K abused miles costs MORE
than my 08FitSwith tax brand new.

i thought that was just too crazy.

i was hoping to get a new TSX or atleast a AccordEX (4bnger) but she
wants a wgn... i asked if she would consider a clubman and her comment
was 'but your MINI's broken all the time...'

just the air girl. just the air i dont use... and sometimes the werd idle...
and the occasional SES..but this is very normal.

anyway, wife said she wants some time for her lower back to heal alittle
before taking any test drives on other cars to make sure the new car
doesn't hurt her back.

i know the feeling though, cause each time i take the legacy out for
like 1hr for errand, i come back with an achy lower back. we tried many
differen seat settings, even bought that memory foam "wedge" to place
under your butt, but no go. the seat just sucks on that car. looks nice
with two tone and all, but just bad.

she was in my FitS's passenger seat for a longer trip last week and she came
out with zero aches.

My new JCW started hurting my lower back in the drive home from the dealership. I was looking at a lumbar cushion, seat covers with lumbar support, or new seats. However, I tried reclining my seat just a little and it seems to have helped a ton.

Just fyi.

yah, my MCS hurt my lower back initially due to the low clutch pedal position. that was 5yrs ago..but i just gotten use to it.

the legacy is now 3yrs old... we tried all the different seating positions
that the darn seat can be set at...all failed.

my wife text me that she turned the wedge upright and tried it... might
work..

here's that 'wedge' im talking about... apparently the subi's seatbottom
tilt-back is not enough causing the legs to sort of support the body weight
while working the pedals... that can lead to lower backpain per the
discussions at the legacy site.

so this wedge in this position (pict)would actually make things WORSE. so
now the wedge is pointing upward to push her butt forward of
the backsupport giving a tad more lean-back. will see... rather find
a $29 solution than a $17K

Ugh, sonofabitch. Went for a ride as a passenger in my car today (was letting dad try it out) and noticed the piano black dash covering the secret compartment already appears to have some scratches in it. I had a microfiber cloth handy and that didn't seem to help.

The really bad, uncomfortable seats were one of the big reasons I sold my '04 Forrester.

The paint/clearcoat on those dash pieces is REALLY soft.... I have to polish mine even more frequently than I polish the car... and I'm fanatical about taking care of them...

If it's scratched, the Amigo won't do the trick - you'll need Swirl or something similar. Ideally applied with a random orbital polisher and a foam pad (for Swirl, use an orange DP pad).

If you have Amigo but don't have the other stuff, you can try the Amigo - 3-4 applications by hand or machine - if by hand, use a foam or microfiber pad. If it's just very fine swirls, the Amigo may mostly fill them. Otherwise you'll need a real polish like Swirl.
