Must be summer, busy here
yah, but typically i would start with ScratchX on a foam pad and see
where it takes me.
going to pull out the MCS in a little while...hopefully... it's too dark outside
still and cant tell whether the roads are dry or not. lol
i took out over 1/2 of the trash last night in the pouring rain.
still
got the huge boxes to take out. man, want to give the trashguy a tip.

I pop out the dash panels as part of my full detail. That way I can give them a good polishing with Swirl and then wax with Epic.
Having said that I recently got a good sized, deep scratch in the passenger side panel from my daughters backpack. It was too deep to polish out so until I buy a replacement panel ($88) I now have a new UJ flag decal strategically placed to conceal said scratch.

wife said the seat wedge standing upright behind her back and seatback
improved the seating position greatly.
looks like i may not have to sell the car... i rather not at least until
it falls apart miserably which may not take too long..

Woo Hoo!!!!! More money for hobby cars!
Still haven't seen my strut brace. And I'm in SLC all week next week.... with Blimey covered at the airport.... bleh. And we have Hanna coming through here now through tomorrow - rain.... double bleh. But I'm still tired from the Tour of Terror last weekend.... so I don't need a motoring fix yet...

On the R52 if you open the glove box and grasp the panel from underneath, pulling straight out will release the bottom of the panel. The top comes out by working it out from under the dash. The center panel will come out next but there are two torx screws at the top and then the rings around the hazard and dimmer controls. The one around the column will come out the same way, but it has a rubber dust ring that has to be removed from the steering column.

no, actually my 'car fund' is a separate part of my account andit does not get used for car mods. mods are from my allowance which
is kinda empty right now from that darn platinum washer with rocks i
gave the wife the other day.

i hear the hurricans are picking up again... hope Ike doesn't hit too
hard on the eastern coast of FL...
took forever to get the G's stock endlinks off due to the position it's
mounted and super tight nuts.
and you cant really use an
impact gun cause you have to hold the thread in place with a hex.
not sure why they need them so tight... manual calls out 60lbs/ft
new endlinks are installed and test drove last night. felt good with
the intermediate setting.
will pull out the G for the full drive
in about 15.

Tropical Storm Hanna is here today... rain, rain, and more rain. No motoring for me. Just a trip to Home Depot in the SUV.
But tomorrow looks like a nice day. Detailing and motoring tomorrow. And some pics of Dr Evil with his new wheels, too.

Flash flood warnings around the area. Won't affect me directly but maybe some Marylanders who live along the Chesapeake Bay. We're looking at getting between 2 and 4 inches of rain here today.
BTW... I'm doing another minor mod on Dr Evil: LED lights for the door exit lighting (red), the foot wells (bright white) and HOPEFULLY, the dome light (if I can get that friggin assembly off... what a ***** that thing is).

yah, hope they don't flood. do you have a basement? the thing i worry
about is the sumppump power during those t-storms. i have that
griot's siphon pump so i suppose worse case i can pump out the water
into a bucket and toss it out...
been looking for a nice inverter to use on my deep cycle yellow top
that can handle like 1000w/1500w peak to use during power outages.
the auto-on types use a high amp charge (15A?) rate so i dont think
my yellow top is going to like it too much. i only use 2A max and i
can still hear it hissing slightly at times.
light mods are fun.
ive yet to remove the dome light to change
bulbs so not sure.
my new swaybar setting on the G felt real good this am.
i
think it was worth the hassle of removing that damn super tight nut.
it was kinda sad cause none of my more expensive tools could not get
it off, but my cheezo craftsman combination wrench + larger mallet
got it off.
but the car almost feels as tight as my MCS now.

Yeah, we have a finished basement... family room with w-2-w carpeting, furniture, 52" HDTV, all that stuff. The winds are predicted to be around 30 mph with possible gusts to 50 so losing electricity this pm is a distinct possiblity. Our property drains very well though and the sump pump hardly ever works, even in heavy rain.
Yeah, I've been on bucket brigade when I was a kid... that's not a lot of fun.

^^ ahhh.. if it only barely runs then you might be okay even if you did
have to do the bucket brigade... like once.
deciding whether i want to wash the dd's or not given that it might
rain on mon per weather channel. hummmmm...

Yeah... I just mowed the front yard this past week... first time in TWO MONTHS, it's been so dry. Now I'll have to do it every week again....
going to pull out my G in a little while for some motoring.
will either SprayOn wax or QD her when i get back, slick the wheels
in the afternoon.
i hear my kids are going to grandma's house all day today so i think i might
just take the rest of the day to nap.
