Z exhaust sounded good. Is that an air-thingy you hung between the pipes?

He meant your carbon fiber diffuser, the one that the stock part was replaced with.

I really do think I was thinking of the after-market carbon fiber diffuser, not the carbon fiber bag.

Blimey, are you missing something?

Now we need some videos of the clip.

Ken...Sounds like WOW!!

Well, "Smaug" (Fictional Charater in The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien) should be coming home this Weekend or early next Week...both Hubby and I are very excited!! Doubled up on my Griot's Supplies so I wouldn't have to wash Towels and Stuff every other Day!! Keep you Fingers crossed...we've got the Loaner, but it's not ours, and I'm anxious to see how Molly looks in the Garage sitting next to her New Big Brother!!

yah, i'll see if i can go motoring sometime with the wife and she can record take-off sound. kinda hard to do in a 2 seater with kids... need to put the kids at daycare or something first...then take the Z out.

vrroom vrroooo~~m!! thanks!

wow, the anticipation for the new car must be killing. phone rings and RJ and hubby runs to the phone each time expecting a call from the dealer.

yah, i think it actually saves money on electicity and water if you buy more towels and wash them all together once a week. our electric bill is kinda high this month due to the a/c running from all the hot days we had this summer.

general question... while you car folks are relaxing at home do you read car magazines and watch races and stuff? or is that for the non-enthusiasts (aka magazine spec racers)?

i ask because there's are lot of read out there (magazines, etc.) but i RARELY have any time to read any of them.

outside my time motoring and working on my car i spend time with family stuff, and free time spent 99% in my music room. 1% for the time i need to go to the kitchen to grab hagdaz ice cream. i might watch a few vids and articles on edmunds from time to time but that's about all.

Well F1 practice is running in the background right now

I've got some other hobbies too, and they tend to lean themselves to projects that don't require garage or road time, so I can participate them a little easier than putting Pearl on the coffee table for a few hours.

I don't read the magazines anymore, I do follow a few blogs and have a few key groups that post up relevant news stories, and I've got quite a few good friends that are well immersed into the MINI community, so it's much more built into my daily life, but every once in a while I get a link out to a magazine article.

I listen to vocal trance, ambient, or chillout music at my pc while playing some kind of strategy or offline RPG computer game. The game becomes a kind of elaborate visualization to the music.

Other than that, I browse NAM, read Popular Science/Mechanics, read books on Jeet Kune Do by Bruce Lee/written from his notes, and I study astronomy. All while listening to above said music.

I got a Message, Hubby only got a Phone #!! I've worked out a plan with the Salesman to Surprise Hubby with a Sunroof Deflector and Vent Shades!!

We were able to bring Smaug home tonight, he got a Bath and is now tucked in with Molly. He will have to return to the Dealership on Monday for a DuraShield Treatment, Mud Flaps (Dealer installs these Gratis), and the Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror w/Homelink, we'll pick him back up on Tuesday Night.

seems like i read the forums and i get more info that way than reading paper magazines. plus i can read it from my bb while waiting for my lunch or something. paper mag are going to pretty much disappear when everyone has cheap wifi gizmo's they can use to read.

yah, seems like people use TV's like how i use my radio. pretty much fill for the room while working on something else. astronomy, huh? i remember seeing saturn from my uncle's telescope back like 30yrs ago. that apparatus must have costed a lot of $$$ back then.

yah, me too. some youtube top gear and stuff from time to time but i cant seem to sit down with a paper magazine and just read. i suppose if the article was great i might read it but usually it's the same ol topics and stupid body kits. and not sure why griot's keeps sending me the same catalog with a new cover every other month. i skim through it and goes into the trash. i checkout griots online.

I'm FINALLY able to give a Review on Sonax Wheel Cleaner, I used it on Molly's Wheels tonight, I don't remember when the last time I had cleaned Molly's Wheels, probably the 1st Bath Molly got after my Surgery. Followed Directions, let it set for 5min., used the Jet Stream on my Multi-Pattern Hose Nozle and Car Wash Dispenser (did I mention that I L@VE this sprayer), to hose off the Wheels and WA-LA!! They came clean only a minor clean up left, no brush needed. This is GREAT Stuff!!

I read Car & Driver, and Muscle & Fitness. Generally there are some good information, and always love the editorials. I've also been getting into MOTOGP, really exciting to watch on the tele. Of course loving that the Champions League qualifying rounds have started up, can never get enough of real football.

....mind you I'm a single 26 year old male with plenty of free time.

Very clean!

Though, I gotta say, I like engines that look like engines... like my 1st gen MINI. Versus engines that look like they have parts of a transformer snapped on to cover them up. Just a personal preference thing.

We are in heavy detailing mode today! We are visiting my parents, who then promptly left us to go to the State Fair My dad has been asking "when are you going to detail my Jag?" so I just finished the wash/clay and Drew is polishing her up now. Josie is up next! Expect write-ups later tonight!
