Must be summer, busy here
Hey Paul... that's one strong strut brace.
About as strong as the Pound vs the Dollar right now... .57 pounds = 1 dollar.
Which means that brace right now would run over $400, plus shipping. But it sure is sweet looking. How do you like the ride ? Had a chance to ops test it yet ??
And Mel... what good is discussion about your hair color without pics ?
And I think Ken is right. The only pic I remember seeing of you here on NAM was with you as a brunette. How can we help you decide which is best for you without pics ?

The dollar was weaker when I bought it...

I dunno how it drives... maybe I'll get a twistyish run in tomorrow... but unless I take the time to do a run with it, then take it off and re-run without it, I doubt I'll really be sure whether it's doing anything or not. Besides looking wikked.
I suspect it's going to add some nominal vibration damping to the chassis. I know the USS made a big, noticeable difference. I suspect if I did NOT have the USS, this particular bar would make a similar (but probably smaller) difference... but with the USS already on there, I suspect the marginal improvement will be very small.

I purposely don't take any pictures when it's blonde because it looks dumb
Hair detailing is very interesting....
Our club supported a St. Baldrick's event today

and our founder got shaved (no, that's NOT me...)
See? Something about hair AND MINIs...

I wonder if they make strut bars for the Odyssey?
OMG... while most of these links yield zero results... the fact that this page EXISTS is just awesome...

the only thing i might change are the wheels. no suspensionwork no nothing. it will be the family cruiser.

going to get the EX-L (L for leather), most likely.
i need to swap back the stock wheels on the legacy and sell the ASA's.
too bad they are 5x100.
lol, like putting PSS9's on a old's 98 or something.
so, it FINALLY stopped raining.
i hear weather is going to
be pretty nice this week.
hope to wash the dd's tomorrow or the
day after. my finger's heeling pretty well, it looks like. added another
coat of superglue today.

Yeah... Odyssey Touring is a very nice van.... we may end up with one of those eventually, when we wear out the Town & Country...
Although I'm TRYING to convince my wife that she REALLY doesn't need a vehicle that she can haul the whole neighborhood in (we only have two kids)... so get an X5 or Cayenne or something...
But then we go camping and I pull out the rear seats of the T&C and load it FULL of gear.... and that kind of destroys my argument...

yah, the odysse is like a nice lux sedan. very roomy, leather is really nicely
done. got 2 little ones myself, but the issue is my dd's are parked outdoors
so buckling them down in the rain/snow kinda sucks for the wife. she
shouldn't have to go through that just because my hobby cars are nice
and dry and warm inside.
she'll be the primary driver and i would probably only drive it like
once a week at most.
the EX-L would probably suffice but
that touring is so much nicer.
started my ad to sell the ASA AR1's on my LegacyWgn today.
going to pull them off this week and put the stockers back on.

woke up early this am to go motoring in my MCS... only to find this on my
FitS..

here you can see my MCS.

i remember hearing a loud pop! while i was motoring my FitS yesterday
and it must've been from driving over a debis and it kicked up/pushed out
my bumper.
the paint flaked only a slight bit so arranged it to where it was and
clearbra'ed over it so it's fine. the hole for the screw cracked but it
wasn't severed so i rescrewed the cover back on. can't tell it was like
that any more.
so, i didnt get to go motoring this am.

worked on the legacy tonight to put back the center console to run
factory wiring. took like an hr to get it done. wata pita working on
that car.
i think im going to postpone bringing up the stock wheels from the
basement until tomorrow.
wife said she needs to make a final
run Wed. that shall be the finale.

I think your kid gave my kid whatever he has, and my kid gave it to me.... argh. And I gotta go do a stand-up presentation over lunch today... grrrr. Only firing on two cylinders today.
hey, found a silver touring with black leather.
hope they still have it thurs... i just noticed some of these local
dealers have over 100 of these minivans in-stock (mostly EX trim).
considering 17/23 (17/25mpg for touring) i suppose gas prices are
really pushing the slow sales.
which means, better deals for the kenchan.
i hope...

I realized today I've only washed my car once since I've had it. I feel a little neglectful, but I've been QDing it quite a bit and every time I do I think "Damn, that looks freshly washed!"
I think I'll give it a wash later in the week.
I think I'll give it a wash later in the week.
thingies to save fuel under light load to get the 25mpg. i think with a
higher flowing air filter i can squeeze another 2-3mpg.
if you remember, Honda lists the FitS 34mpg hwy... i was able to do
42mpg.
well, that was only one tank but it's possible. i canconsistently get 38-39mpg on the FitS if i drive normally... but that
is so abnormal for me.

with a V6 and the gearing, im not too surprised to see those low
20's numbers on the Odyssey.
i would advise not to QD a daily driver due to swirls.
