Nice, heavy-duty Moog endlinks with grease fittings (much better than OEM) for the T&C are about $48 bucks each. An easy swap IF the old ones aren't siezed.... then it's a total beotch.

Bath day for both MINIs today. If I have time, going to do some major interior detailing, they both need it.

tu13- apple picking, huh? cool. do they have an apple farm?

my pops has a little backyard farm growing many crops.. he shares them
with the neighbors.

motoring the G was great. dusted and SprayOn waxed, clarity'ed
the windows. i need to still slick the wheels and touch up on some areas
of the leather with LeatherCare and LeatherCare spray... maybe tonight.

finished up slick'n the G's wheels, dressed the tires, and also LeatherCare'ed
the interior last night. looks and smells great.

i pressured up the tires too this morning since the temps are going to drop
quite a bit starting this week. i need to schedule my next Griot's Paint
Sealant app soon on the dd's... maybe this coming weekend.

started raining pretty hard this am... got my free chows version car wash.

We ended up not going apple picking because of the rain. Was a close call though. :P

I'm sick of the rain. Looks dry out now, hopefully it stays that way for the drive home.

yah, just getting hit with rain is fine, but driving in the rain makes the car so ikky.

i think im going to remove that intake off the FitS next time it's sunny out.
it's not too bad when it's just me, but when i have the family on-board and
driving on the expway, it's just too noisy.

motored the MCS again this am. was fun.

trying to see if the online store has a doubledin conversion kit for my G.
it's a nissan part for the japan domestic market and need to get the finisher, brackets,
and a/c controls. once i have this, i can get a nice 2 din nav
system in the car... and get rid of that 6CD in-dash changer with
cassette player from 2004. lol

huh...

so this am i passed on the MCS motoring and put the stock intake
back on the FitS in hopes that it would quiet things down a little while
motoring with the family onboard. it tends to get kinda noisy on the
expressway as RPM's are in the 3K+ range... to my surprise, the CAI
i had on there was only barely louder than stock. it must be the muffer
then... hummmm... but i likes the way the dual outlet looks...

still waiting for the store to confirm back to me on that G35C JDM console
kit.

My car is really dirty, but I don't have time to wash it today. Is it worse to try QDing a really dirty car or just wait it out a day or two until I can wash it?

without further delay, i placed my order for that JDM center console for
the G to have the option to use 2din stereo's. the car came with
a built-in bose stereo system where the a/c module is part of the
console... so even before you start shopping for a stereo, you have
to spend $300+ to get the trim with new a/c control module. lol

so im thinking about getting a pioneer 2din nav system...

any thoughts/advise? or if i can find a cool 2in stereo with a large
screen i might do that. i rarely use nav.

If you can get a 2 din, get one of those big touch-screen jobbies!

(I have no more detail to offer than that, haha...)

Put a coat of BG on Clara today...man that stuff rules...

This is a great thread -- all the cool kids seem to hang out here. But, given that it is now October, maybe we need a thread with a different name?

There's already a "must be winter, quiet here" thread... we'll pick that one back up as soon as it freezes in Chicagoland.

It helps to absolutely stalk the weather systems. I washed my car the morning after Ike blew through D/FW. It's been clear as a bell since. Light dusting and spot quick-detailing means the MINI looks great and it's been three weeks since I washed!!!! I admit, there comes a point at which this will not work any more, but it usually rains before that...and it is supposed to Monday or Tuesday of next week.

No question - a few times earlier this year with the drought here, I could go 3+ weeks with just dusting and QD and have a CLEAN car... dry weather (or night time rain) is a wonderful thing.

no motoring this am on the MCS... had to vac the house.

anyway, my choice as good cause right about the time i usually come home
after the morning drive, there was a sweeper that completely wetted
down the road infront of our house. i would've been PISSED
if i had to clean the car due to some stupid sweeper cleaning a
not so dirty road.

Just washed/waxed yesterday, with minimal city driving. I think I'm gonna just be able to QD tomorrow and call it a day
