Got my RMW cam installed yesterday. Got about four zillion gnats installed on the hundred-mile drive home - YECCCHHHH! QD'd them off. But would LOVE to do a wash and Banana Gloss today before going to VIR (as a spectator and kart driver) tomorrow.

Brrrrrr

In the thirties here last night and not supposed to get over sixty today. I am glad I got my final detailing done last weekend.

I'm thinking that Summer is over folks.

so i washed, clayed, and sealed the paint today on the FitS.
no picts cause it doesn't look much different from how it normally looks.
just more shiny.

while using the DP clay to pretty much clean all the surfaces, i tried
3 different QD as lube. first the usual Meg's pos maroon bottle junk QD.
then Griot's SpeedShine. then Prima Slick.

i have to say slick and the pos maroon bottle does very well for lubing
clay but Speedshine is another story. it just doesn't have the extra
umph like the other 2 so the clay tends to grab hold of the paint
at the end of the stroke even though the clay and paint is saturated.
which results in white spots/smears on the paint. so you gotta
go over it again.

werd, huh? so from now on, im going to use Slick as my clay lube.

I use 50/50 slick/water - works well - that's what Heather recommended if you didn't want to buy their clay lube....

Supposed to be a rainy weekend here...no detailing for me!

It did cause me to finally go get a new cabinet though and get everything into it so it doesn't get all wet!

yah, i was thinking about doing a slick50/50, but im pretty low on my
entire Slick inventory so didn't want to make my solution... if that makes
any sense.

let me explain...you know how when you only have a 1/2 filled bottle
those prima bottles start shooting air? i HATE that. so not knowing
how much i would need to do the FitS, i didn't want to make any solution.

ML can clay her car with just rain water today.

hey, gotz my JDM skyline center console for my G. looks great.
will be boxed up until my stock radio dies. LOL

i thought about putting a nice stereo with nav but unless im SUPER BORED
this winter, im not going to do it. it's just not worth it cause like the a/c
in the MCS, i NEVER use it. i have to kind of force myself to turn it on.

so, probably going to get a doubledin nav on my FitS instead. at least
on the FitS, it actually goes to stores and restaurants where as my G
only sees gas stations, smog check labs, dealers every 5yrs.

the JDM consoles were getting scarce so just wanted to buy one and
keep it in-stock just in case the stock radio craps out.

Finally got to wash the JCW this weekend. Used a little Amigo on the PB dash and it seems to have gotten rid of most of the marks that were there.

Still gotta find time to do the mudflaps. Until then I'll try and QD more so I don't end up with a filthy car.

Sales must be down because you've finished buying EVERYTHING. So now they have to do promos. Poor bastards.

i need to get some oil... 5W20 for my FitS. it's almost due for an oil change.

im dreading going to walmart. i hate that store. door ding fever.
but they have those M1 5qt jugs for $22 or something cheap.

went to murray's today and their M1 is $6.99/qt. FitS takes 4.

Going to order some SS brake lines, new plugs and wires for Poco tomorrow. Time to get some 100k stuff done to him.

I Black wowed both MINIs this evening to get them ready for their fall major detail. Put it on a bit heavy, but I don't feel like taping everything off.

Just dandy, thanks for asking. No stress about the goings on here, read/post when I feel like it, way less PMs, although some folks did have nice things to say, the few as....., er, troublesome members, just did not make it worth the hassle. So life is good
