I'm not worried.

It's not like anyone ever listens to Ken anyway.

yah, I sometimes just ignore myself too.

I Slicked the G's wheels last night and dressed the tires. Looks nice again.
I got maybe one more app before my dressing is gone. Next bottle is called HotShine or something cheezy. I hope it works well like InsaneShine. I only use a tiny bit.

Today I'm going to be in my music room most of the am. got this new digital mixer and auditioning my hookup config.

Did a quick-wash of Blimey yesterday with the Griot's soap nozzle... ended up drying with a monster fluffy, my waffles suck so bad. I ordered some new waffles - a mix of DP's, the DP wheel waffles (I think I'm gonna like that size) and Richard's waffles. Gotta wash the minivan and do Blimey's interior glass today.

Washed the PW Cooper last night (forgot the Off and got eaten by mosquitos), washed the JB MCSC this morning. Banana Glossed the black one and the roof/pillars of the PW one. Aerospace 303'd interior and Nero'd the tires of all three.

And it's only 9 am.

Yes the weather is sweet in our parts right now! Going to give them both a bath as soon as the sun moves behind the tree to give me a nice shady spot. I might go for a motor and enjoy the sun!

I sure am glad I get early morning shade in my driveway. I'd hate to have to wait until almost mid-day to wash the cars.

Only pain for me is this time of year when I really have to be done washing by 7:30.

< 7:30am is like your morning exercise before work.

i use to motor every morning at 6:30am before work on my MCS on nice days. i definitely like the fresh air.

in my area though morning air is usually very moist so have a hard time drying. good thing Hydro dries consistently even if i did a pretty lazy job simulating a fully dried car. can't do that with carnauba based spray waxes too well.

I managed to break the mirror cover on my driver's side visor. I broke the little nub that allows the cover to connect to the actual visor. I managed to superglue it back on but I couldn't get the darn cover back in place after trying for nearly half an hour (while it was 85 degrees outside so of course I got all sweaty and gross).

It's $70 for a new visor from Classic MINI. I guess that's better than the $90+ that most dealers charge.

Lesson learned: Don't use too much force when snapping the visor back into place.

no, ive tried that in the past but there's quite a difference
between the lifting abilities of slick vs hydro.

with Hydro-only as QD the brake dust kinda smears
around and takes more product to make it work for me.

with Slick the brake dust comes right off and leaves
a nice slippery coating behind.

i was hoping i can get the slickness yet have the
protection of Hydro...

Dude.... Wheel Armour... lasts a LONG time (I do it twice a year) and then no need for Hydro on your wheels. Just use Slick.

really? ive been using wheelarmour too (before hydro), but it didn't last that long for me. and it being 3pc wheels you dont want to get the wax in the nooks
cause you wont be able to get to it real well after it's
in there...

and i do let the wheels cool down completely before working on them (like let it cool for a few hours, not minutes).

You must be defective. Because my Wheel Armour lasts for months.

Nothing sticks to my wheels. Wash easily with carwash soap. QD easily with Slick. Always nice and shiny and clean.

time to get a beater ML. unlike CA where weather is usually nice for weeks, our weather in the midwest changes very frequently.

For those interested, Griot's new machine is much better! I stopped by there with the work van on Saturday to see if it lived up to the hype of my friends that work there. I think it is much better than the old machine, of which I have a few, and even better than the PC as far as feel and maneuverability. I still like my Flex better, but it was also a bunch more money, and was bough just for Mercedes paint. (Used to detail here and there for friends and family.)

Other than that, loving being able to wash my car again, hydro looks awesome. Going on three years with no polishing to my MINI, it is finally starting to look like it needs it again. Hopefully a new home is in my future.
