I'm at the beach. Blimey is at home, a *little* dirty in the garage. Minivan is beach dirty... with pounds of sand inside, salty air slime outside, cat pawprints all over it, etc. Driving home today. Big car cleaning day tomorrow...

"Salty airslime" sounds like our winter air.

Looks like I'm going to pull out the G for a little while this am. hopefully back before they cut up the roads.

My car is all clean, just needs speed shined.

Taking the wifes explorer up the mountain tomorrow, have to wash it when I get back. It needs washed bad anyway, sits out side and is used for an almost 70 mile RT commute.

Sounds good SCurves. How much gas does your explorer eat going up the mountains?

Yah, my dd's reside outside also, so gets dirtified real quick. :( one reason why I use Hydro. So little work so much goodness.

Going to pull out the G again this early morn.

Vac'd a sandbox full of sand outta the van last night. This morning washed the salty airslime off the outside. Clarity'd airslime and dog nose prints and dead squitos off the interior glass. Wiped down interior. Doesn't look like a nasty old beat-up minivan anymore. Now just looks like an old beat-up minivan.

We have made it to Cortez, CO. Weather has been great, but the dogs were not impressed with 100F temps while we were at 4 corners.

Bugs washed right off at the wand wash last night, no towels involved, just water pressure. Going to put that off till we get to the Prima car wash at Copper Mountain.

Blimey- hahahaha.

Lotsie- 100F is hot. especially inside a car.

This am took my G out for a spin, QD afterwards, WindowCleaner'ed the glass. Also dusted the interior. Man I wish they would hurry up with the concrete repairs... I hate looking at my tires with white dust on the treads.

Also checked the brake pad wear on the brembo's..using my usual magnet tool with mirror and flashlight.

Lots of berries on the ground in the forest. G's mudflaps looked like grape jam. so took some SprayOn wax and cleaned off. Seems to work the best for jams and jelly's.

Sounds good, in my old MCS if it was 100F outside it would be a nice cool 125F inside.

ken - look what I ordered for my 12 year old son last night...

Roland TD-4S

And some nice headphones...

He started playing percussion in school band last year and is a Guitar Hero World Tour drumming maniac. So I'm starting him on rock drumming lessons.

And I think I can hook up the drumset to the GHWT set and play Guitar Hero with them....

Yah - it's their newest V-drum rig, targeted as a "practice" rig for "improving" drummers - has some really cool coaching / practicing features built into the brain. And has the highest quality audio samples of any Roland set yet - it's unreal how good this thing sounds... pretty much makes all the sounds you would want to make with a real drum (velocity sensitive, sensitive to where you hit the drum head, rimshots, cymbals are position sensitive, etc.).... plus you can make it sound like 25 different kits easily. Really cool. Not a full gig set, but perfect for practicing at home, which is what he'll be doing for the next 5 years...

blimey- sounds good! yah, i checked out RolandUS's site just now and found out that it is their newest kit. im no drummer but ive toyed around with one at the store and it really does respond like drums. my buddy who's a drummer also commented how realistic it is.

especially if you're playing inside a normal room (like my music room which is only particially acoustically damped/tuned) these V instruments sounds hells better than playing the real thing. i have caliberated my monitors to the room modes and running internal and outboard reverbs so my V-Piano sounds excellent like at a small concert hall.

and it inspired me to practice even more... it sounds so good you just want to get better.

Yeah, the advancements in electronic instruments in the last few years have been pretty awesome. Can't wait to get this thing hooked up to a laptop with MIDI software and playing around.

Oh yeah, this is a detailing forum.... So I guess I'll use Slick on the frame. Wonder how Nero would do on rubber drum heads?
