Molly is getting a MINI Detail Today, we will be going to our 1st PDXMINI.org Meeting tonight and she has to L@@K Good!!

My Griot's Order arrived yesterday...in the box were 2 Bores Hair Brushes, 2 Four Finger Mesh Mitts, a Lug Nut Cleaning Brush, Glass Cleaning Clay, an 8ox. Bottle of Speed Shine, and the Pump Sprayer to go with it. I've already used the Speed Shine on some remanants I found of the WD40...I can see why Ken likes it so much!!

All rain today so no detailing, and the Black Pearl needs it; but I will probably tinker in the engine this evening, coolant leak had me running 10degF high on the temps yesterday, zip-tied BPV needs inspecting and the engine still feels like it's gasping for air when I slow to an idle or start up the car, it was so bad yesterday I was having cold-weather, cold-start circa 2005 flashbacks.

I kinda like taking the 355 extension and hovering through space

I touch up paint-ed a couple of chips on Geoffrey this morning. Is it wrong that I now want BRG nail polish?

leslie - hahahaha. you should paint your smart phone the same color too.

motored my Z this am and the nuvi came in handy. glad i got it. so many roads under construction.

i noticed the umbilical cord for the battery manager that i snaked over the tower seems to get pretty hot (125F) so i may need to relocate that later on... was only 60F this am.

4.5 hours

Well, today was the first nice Saturday since I picked up Tralfaz ('06 Checkmate, Space Blue) and he was in need of a decent detail. It looks like his original humans kept him out in the Florida sun 24/7. While I understand not everyone has the luxury of a garage or car port, they could have done done a little exterior preventive maintenance (maybe I'm just picky). I used the Klasse twins to bring the paint back and I treated all the black plastic with Sonus Tire & Bumper Dressing Gel; the windshield washer jets were a light grey but they were the worst of it. The bonnet strips and side checkmate graphics will have to be replaced. All in all a successful day as I am really happy with the results. Of course now I don't want to drive him for fear of dirtying him up

Ooo, Space Blue is like my...3rd fave MINI color of all time. So pretty when it's all cleaned up.

I'm going to tiptoe outside in a few minutes and give Josie a bath. I got an older model Nomad washer on the cheap ($30 - I wanted the newer one but really couldn't justify the cost difference) and while we're not *supposed* to wash cars in our complex, I think if I keep it close to the garage it'll be fine. Our on-site person is basically a hermit anyway, I don't think she'll even know.

And if I get caught, oopsie, I won't do it again.

Not so much the witnesses as the water spots. I don't really care about witnesses. We got a guy doing woodworking in his garage 3 doors down...I have blackmail material!

Hehe, yeah it's a spot just a few blocks from our house. Some days, Josie matches the water!

so this weekend im going to try seeing how well the G35C does as a kid carrier... should do fine for the older kid since he can buckle himself in, but not sure about the younger one.

it's a prep to see if i can consider 2 door as my next potential dd...

2 door? I thought we agreed you where getting the Clubbie that drove like a 2 door but had the third to help the kids with access.

*checks UPS package tracking* Confirmed, they have managed to perfect teleportation of packages between facilities, either way it's out for delivery.

*Crowd Chanting..."Clubbie!!...Clubbie!!...Clubbie!!...", Ken if we are considering one for our 2 4-Legged, you can certainly consider one for your 2-Legged Kids!!

Whatchya' gettin' MO??

I gott'a order up some SS from Griot's...I finally learned what Ken meant by "Natural Wax"... Surprisingly enough I have LOTS of it...I used to use it on my PickUmUP Truck!! I have enough Slick to finish the remaining 3 wheels I still need to do on Molly, then I'll need to order more of that too.

yah, but the little 3rd door is on the wrong side of the car!

UPS is good. USPS is unclear... SmartPost definitely sucks.
yah, watcha getting?

if i can somehow make my G35C to work as my summer time dd, it would be great. im trying to get away from the FitS, i get too many leg cramps lately.

speedshine is great stuff indeed. also try SprayOn Wax from time to time cause that makes your finish VERY slippery and nice. it also makes QD and washing your car A LOT easier.

gotz a new digital piano and some monitors coming to me this month.

Just a lil beast of a flashlight, known as the Gladius Maximus.

More light than a LED 4D cell Maglight in about the same size package as a AA light. Rated @ 120 lumens and offers steady and momentary modes.

So UPS teleportation worked!
