Must be summer, busy here
My mechanic was able to use a Time-sert from above on the number 3 plug and fixed the whole thing in about 2 hours. I had to wait a few days since he was on an extended memorial day vacation.
The thing is though, he replaced the plug with an NGK G-Power plug and recommended leaving the 3 remaining Brisk plugs lest something happen to those threads. The Brisk, he says, have a slightly different thread pitch than what is actually stated, and could have led to the plug poppage.

I had a crummy work Monday too. The nurse I normally work with was out today, and her fill-in was TERRIBLE! She was trying to get by doing the bare minimum and complaining about everything she had to do all day.
At least it was a short day. School is out, so I don't have to go there in the afternoons anymore - just to baseball games

Hmm so I guess those aren't an option for F-Day.
Are you set in the comfy silence the rest of the world I'm listening to the keyboard headphone department?
A DT SC BPV should show up soon, so I can drive the R53 to get the PS pump fixed. A car that won't randomly die or engulf would be nice.

I already have AKG and Sony 7506's so they suite me well... Was thinking retractor cord reel but decided not to... Hummmm...
Gotz more CF goodness ordered to Japan.
things are kinda pricy over there, but I'm tired of working with sub-par taiwanese crap.

Motored my z this am.
was a great drive. The car handles so much better with the wider stance in the rear for our boring straight roads.
much better stability.
And the car doesn't understeer with this setup either so its perfect.
looks great too with this stance.
In other news, you thought USPS was bad, HK mail system sucksarse.
7 days and my package is still in 'yayayaya you wan potstikar?' land

I had a package that I sent from HK in mid December arrive in April, lol.
Waiting on UPS package it's in......HODGKINS, IL, US for the last two days
I thought they where delivery not storage.
In the mean time my engine is sploded all over the garage, and there's map sensors on the kitchen counter
It's time for bypass valve replacement and MAP sensor cleaning. I took the old BPV off and I'm not convinced it's as broken as I was led to believe, which leaves a scary long list of potential causes (for P1688). Richard will remember one of them being his crank pulley one could be the supercharger being toast, could be any number of points for a vacuum leak, could be ECU fried, I just don't know yet.
Guess I didn't have a big enough breakfast, as after about 2 hours working on the car I'm all lightheaded and my legs are having issues remaining stable so I need to fuel myself before I do any more work.

yah, sounds like you need to get more protein and carbs into your system. try some charburgers and cheeze fries.
had spare ribs last night and i was fueled up for 7-8hrs of piano practice...
so im asking for a set of fostner drill bits and a press for f-day.

oh yah, also ordered up another recaro booster seat for my kid. going to use it in my G so that i can drop him off sat morning to his private school and i can motor from there. a good 40min or so saved.
I went along those lines, had some juice for the basic sugars then some leftover hamburger helper. Almost ready to go back to working on the Pearl, got the MAP sensors cleaned out and one was severely coated in oil, and may need a little more help in getting clean. Such a small sensor soaked the paper towel in oil.

I bet he get's all excited when he thinks he's got the day off school due to rain.
40 more min to motor might mean getting the G and Z out before the rain hits.
With two kids that's a lot of time saved.
And for the details of my issues and photos, here Paul? Richard? Anyone?
The rust is along the seam that is spot welded, in fact, the spot welds themselves are rusting. I'd hypothesize that there were tiny protrusions caused by the spot welds, perhaps slag of some sort, and that when painted, these points, due to the surface tension of the paint, cause the paint to pull away and it ended up not as thick and strong as it should have been. So that is where the rust was able to gain a foot hold.
