in my town it's just a small sticker like the size of a return address label cut in half. and it just attaches to the top corner of the license plate.

what kind of label is yours? does it go on the car panel or on the license plate? If it's just the plate usually just pulling it comes off. might want to apply a little bit of heat to soften the adhesive, pull off, then googone/WD40 using soft MF towel.

RJ- you dont necessarily need a heatgun, just enough heat to make the adhesive softer.

Glad it worked(?) but dang, it took the coating off too? That's some strong adhesive they used.

I vac'ed part of the garage this early am. I need to get one of those iRobot garage sweepers. Wonder if it would get caught under my cars.

I can tell the wife I'm multi-tasking while the bot sweeps the garage and I sit back and sip freshly brewed coffee.

I have about 6 registration label stickers stacked on my plates. Which is about the most you can have right now since the plate design change 6 or so years ago. Nebraska might get a new design next year though.

im a Griot's user so SpeedShine is wat i use mostly. but i use Prima Slick on my wheels since i Hydro them.

if it's for your dd i would recommend slick over speedshine for its lifting capabilities and also the slippery teflon like finish it leaves. makes it a lot easier to clean next time.

with all this construction going on, i want to have a nav in my Z to get around and find alternate routes on the fly.

what's a good unit to get? i dont want anything fansy cause i dont regulary use nav. just a basic one with a large screen and easy to use.

nuvi 265WT? (sub-$200).

I have a Nuvi 680 and it's a widescreen....they make a bunch of widescreens though. The nav on all of them should be essentially the same across the board.

ML- thanks for the info. i found bestbuy has a cheezo one called 205W and i think it would serve my purpose... any thoughts?

i just want the barebone basic nav with widescreen and backlighting. i heard FM traffic is not that great so dont need it. will smell the air and tell which roads are not constructionized.

Ken I have the 265T, it is not the 'wide screen' version since I use it in Molly and didnt want something bigger than the Speedo!! Works great fo rme, I just downloaded the newest maps, haven't had a chance to really use it, but I like playing with it, its' features are all I need. I had initially purchased a TomTom and although you can plan trips on your computer, it just wasn't user friendly at all.

sounds good, i got a 205W yesterday and seems to be pretty good so far. :D

as you said i dont plan on using the other features either so i just got the most basic one.

making the bracket for the Z right now... yah, im off a few days looking after the kids this week.

not done yet... but waiting for the rain to end so i can spray this thing...

needs quite a bit of screws to keep it from spinning when i move the ball joint.

test fit... will look like this.

the hinge is there so it folds into the cubby when not in use. a cleaver idea by another member at the z forum.

been looking after the kids all day... taking another day off tomorrow as well.
my older kid graduated preschool and had his graduation ceremony. kids
sang us songs and stuff and was a good time.

showed picts to grandpa and he said the kids look like penguins lined up on the stage singing.

in other news...
the idiot census guy from india keeps coming back despite us mailing in the form over a month
ago so we just left his note partially under the welcome mat and using it to clean our shoes.
im sure he'll be back later on this week.

going to install tint on the porch glass later on today. it's a decorative tint that appear more like a curtain from the outside than just a black tint. my house has A LOT of large windows and so we want to make the windows less revealing from the outside.

just getting ready to turn our loft into a lounge with my VPiano. we call it the laputa in the winter cause it's literally a room with only 2 walls and floats in the middle of the house. almost has like this tree house feeling in the sky.

my wife's an anime dork so... http://www.onlineghibli.com/laputa/
