lotsie- wow, you guys did a great job on your garden and landscaping.

 

had to remove 5 wasp nests yesterday. i hate beeeeez. i REALLY hate them. they were living inside our large plastic storage bin on our deck.

i shook up some WaspWow and shot it from about 15ft at the nests.
basically you just shake the can and throw it in the general direction of the nest and run like hell.

things have calmed down now.. <= kenchan's a chicken when it comes to beez..

 

aside from that excitement, i went motoring in my G this am since my second 4-day weekend started today.

and speedshine'ed afterwards. i need to buy another gallon along with that
coconut oil duster.

 

Alright, I got 2 MINIs, a Jag, and an Escalade that need washing today.

Detailing was so much more fun when my family lived further away...

 

Not even halfway through the weekend and so far.....

Put 1.5 tons of crushed stones in the planting bed in the front yard with a shovel and a wheel barrel.

Planted 5 ice plants, 2 Spotted Nettles, 8 various annuals, and 6 of the ornamental pepper plants I started from seeds back in December.

Mowed the lawn.

Put down weed killer on 2,500 feet of lawn.

Washed the huge SUV and one of the MINIs.

I'll wash another MINI this evening when it cools down and the sun isn't shining on the driveway and the last one tomorrow morning before heading up to PA for Memorial Day with my family.

Busy weekend.

 

i clayed and Best of Show'ed my G Friday evening. went over it with SprayOn wax as LSP. looks fantastic.

my buddy from LA also checked it out yesterday and was amazed with the
nice warm glow of carnauba. going to do my MCS this Thurs, weather permitting.

need to clean the interior of both dd's tomorrow. today is music day.

 

I've washed Blimey TWICE this weekend - yesterday, then drove 3 hrs roundtrip to a club picnic and he got WAY buggy and also drove through some rain... so washed him again this AM to get the bugs and rain grit off. Track day at VIR tomorrow and the track pads are on now... so he'll be NASTY tomorrow night when I get home.

 

Yesterday I planted and weeded alllllll day. I weeded a little more this morning, went grocery shopping, washed and Hydroed the Escalade (which is my mothers, and has never seen a drop of wax. What a chore.), and washed and Hydroed Drew's MINI. I'm whooped. I have to wash/wax Clara and my dad's 2 Jags tomorrow. The one Jag shouldn't be too bad, as it's been in storage. But the other one, OMG. He sent it to be detailed last spring and it is Hologram City. So I'm going to teach Drew how to polish and he can help me with that. That, and a little more planting tomorrow, and this weekend is toast!

 

Why so much weeding, Mel ? I rarely ever have to pull a weed and I have about 1,500 sf in planting beds.

I use plenty of mulch/stones (stones in the front yard, mulch in the back). And then I go around with my sprayer every now and then and hit the stray weeds with some weed killer.

Pulling weeds sucks !

 

It's not my yard, unfortunately I use mulch so I don't have weeds. But my parents have 10 acres of landscaping and are hosting their 40th wedding anniversary party this year, so I've been doing as much as I can. And, to be honest, it sorta looks like they let it slide all last summer

 

Ahhhhhh... that 'splains it.

On a different note, we (sisters and I) held a 50th anniversary party for our parents just last month. Wowzers, 50 years.

my 4day weekend is going by too fast. going to clean my Fits' interiors in a little bit. it's not too hot today so it's good...but kinda windy.

looks like rain in the forecast for the next few days followed by a decent sunny day on Thurs... hope it stays that way. im going to detail everything on the MCS but leave the wing untouched. (i bet everyone's like )

Went to Indy yesterday, the race was great. Raining here today, so just going to hang out, relax, drink beer, grill something in the rain

I'm done working this weekend. This morning I cleaned out more flower beds and acquired more bug bites. I'd like to wash Clara, and the 2 Jags still need a full detail, but I'm cashed.

Off for a yummy lunch and maybe a nap later.

 

Yeah, ken, it was a buzzzzzzzzzy weekend ! But not today... spent it with my family up in PA and we ate, drank, and were merry.

Grilled steaks, corn on the cob, a potato dish, salad, rolls, apple pie, ice cream... and other stuff.

Pollen season was in full force today in PA. Dr Evil was yellow but we hit a 10-minute downpour on the way home. No more pollen but the boot is filthy.

And hey ken... can't wait to see how that wing tip looks on your MCS.

Hope all my OCDetailer friends had a good Memorial Day and also took at least a few minutes to quietly thank those many, many Americans who have died in our various wars as well as their families who have lost those brave men and women.

 

i finally got around to cleaning the interiors of the Fits. used 30/70 vinegar to water this time to minimize the salt vinegar potato chips scent. it doesn't smell that bad actually. used InteriorCleaner at the end to rid all the soil. looks like new again.

CR&PW&JB- yah, pollen is pretty bad out here too. my car is all rusty brown-ish color in matter of hours.

im hoping to upload new picts in my gallery early June with that new wing tip attached. shall include new picts of my G and some garage vanity thingies.

 

I'm battling the maple tree helicopter things for the foreseeable future. Grr.

 

Thank the Maker that all that spring pollen and falling crapola is done here. My allergies were insane this spring... but the car was nasty, so at least you couldn't tell when I sneezed in it.

Blimey's nasty (as predicted) after his track day... and a drive through the rain on the way home... got a lot of work to do tonight to get him back in clean street mode...
