Must be summer, busy here
Thanks for all your concern! It turned out to be a dead battery... but at 22K thats kind of odd... Jumped it then turned it off after I parked at a store, then it died again! Jumped it once more and off to NTB. The NTB guy said that batteries sometimes die due to the weather (heat). New battery is in and its running fine.
Also got a free alignment too, which was nice. (comes w/ buying their tires)

batteries can die within a few years depending on how it was
used and working environments so im not too surprised.
if you only do short trips it wont charge enough and prematurely
die. the drain on these MINI's is pretty high.
my battery is still the original from 5yrs ago but it's well maintained
(always on float mode while not in use) so it'll provide at least another
couple of years of service, i think.
always helps to monitor my
voltmeter under the switch box inside the car too.

Hmmmm....As long as its not a new one every 22K ill be ok!
Got back from MITM today. Car was filthy but it was fun dirt! Last night we drove up the side of Mt. Evans at midnight - the highest paved road in the US at 14,129ft. It was a great drive so here is a photo from the top:

It was about 38 degrees on top and the clouds were rolling over so we lit them up.
A lot of great rides in the cool mountains. Had about 215 MINIs and vendors.
Richard was there as was Heather, the car wash was most popular.

Got home and washed the MINI and the Pilot - the official MSV (MINI Support Vehicle) - still hate black.
BTW - Mike with AC was at MITM so cut him some slack, he was busy. I think he was heading home today.
Now - back to work. Only 360 days to MITM4.

Great pics, Chuck. Looks like a really nice event.
You had nearly as many MINIs there as we did at MOTD this year. But yours was the cleanest, I'm sure.
Yeah, I know Mike is busy, and I didn't say that to hammer him. I really think he needs an assistant. I've been seeing more and more complaints lately on the board about his service.

BTW, ordered my Falken Ziex Ze912's yesterday. Should be here in a couple of days.
Oh dang - work again.
We would like all of you to make it to next year's MITM. Did I mention there is a car wash? High pressure mountain water? Free PRIMA products? Super discounts and even new things to try?
Good, I know I got you - see you next year!
... and Blimey, Maybee you could make a family thing of it, add a few days to the front or end. It may cost more than a Penny, but worth it!

If only I could have gotten my calendar synced better. Gonna be in Denver next month for some training but don't know how much free time I'll have. If it had been MITM time I would have definitely made time
Nice! That should be a good improvement.
MiniMaybee, I'll be there 14-19 September. Have to look up the hotel they're having the training at.
MINIFVR, I hope so. Part of me is still nervous about having run-flats or a spare but I'll get some slime.

Had a HUGE grasshopper splat on my front bumper... with carcass jammed in the edge of the lower grille.... used it as an excuse to Slick the whole car (and wheels) with a sensuous Starfish Mitt.... mmmmmmmmm...... I need a cigarette.
This weekend I hit a small bird. It bounced and was apparently unharmed, however it did leave a thank you on my windshield. I have to assume it was carrying a satchel of crap with it because there was way too much for such a small bird to leave behind.
And then it started to rain and within a mile it was just a memory - thanks Epic!

Wish I had made it to MITM.... Maybee next year.
