Must be summer, busy here
went motoring in my MCS this am.
was fantastic.
SpeedShine'ed afterwards.
will clean the wheels later on in the day.
WindowCleaner'ed the glass. will Clarity the inside glass later on.
i still can't get over how sucky the prima bottles are.
drip fever
especially when doing exterior glass.
anyone try the new Griot's spray nozzles yet? they are a tad shorter than
the ones i have. i have 2 empty griot's bottles so im thinking about
getting those nozzles and using Slick in the griot's bottles from now on.
Hydro is already in my griot's bottle.

his old one was a lexus GS hybrid sedan. his new one is a RX hybrid. now gorochan's going
to have to jump pretty high and ride the roof.

Basically it needs to be continuously adjustable at the nozzle tip like the Griots bottles in order for them to work properly. The present spray head ones drip... It may not drip today or tomorrow, but after use they start to drip and just don't work well.
The preset ones are like driving a AT car. Very limited in what they can do and very boring to use.

There's a storage products store nearby here that sells all kinds of storage containers, etc - they also have a good selection of spray bottles. I need to stop by and see what I can find for pint-sized sprayers there.
I use a lot of the sprayers available at Lowes, etc. (Both the SprayMasters and the cheaper ones) for my sculpture studio and gardening stuff. They seem to work well, have good adjustability, etc. They're just bigger than what I'd like ideally for detailing supplies.
Also can find small sprayers at hair salon supply places (like Sally Beauty Supply here). I should check there too for what might work well.

Blimey had a little wet road residue on the boot and sides after a brief drive in a sprinkle a few days ago... got lazy and just used some Griot's SOC and a few Monster Fluffies to take it off. 5 minutes, easy, clean, probably a couple of swirls...
yah, i think im going to buy a couple of those new Griot's nozzles and try them out. their original ones ive been using the last several years have been very goood.
ML- all 6 Prima bottle spray heads (3new type/3 old type) drip after i hit the trigger and release.
i think blimey's right about not intended to be re-filled. they didn't drip this bad when it was new. I like their size for doing interior work though.
blimey- yah, ive been using Griot's SOCW for several months now and it works great. even on my dd's when they are only partially dirty i just use SOCW. beats dragging out the bucket and hose, etc.
too lazy. the green towels Griot's sells with the kit is great too.
just need to remove their tag before use cause that swirls the paint.

so i got my meg's blue clay from amazon the other day....
the jar is pretty clunky like a peanut butter jar but the
content was so tiny i had to laugh.
wat bs
advertisement by Meg. they should use a smaller jar
like Griot's and fill it more.
the bar reminded me of those small hotel bath soapbars.

I got mine about a month ago. Never opened the jar, just stuck it in my detailing cabinet.
Just took a look. The bar is about the same size as the other clay bar's I've bought. But yeah, it gets lost in that rather large jar.
Was all rain this am so didn't go motoring.
but the good was no need to detail the FitS.
Some good always comes with rain.
Tomorrow's suppose to be sunny so I'm working on my music today and going motoring tomorrow.

Just got back from a two-day trip to Atlantic City. Not much top-down motoring due to the weather (showers and very humid). It rained about half the trip back. Yeah, filthy MINI.
Didn't gamble very much. Came out just a little ahead.
Hope all you OCDetailers are having a good weekend !

Good to hear you're back, CR&PW&JB!
I think even if you come back breakeven that is success.
So I got a chance to try the Meg's blue clay today. 100% better than Griot's mud, quite a bit better than Prima as it was easy to knead, waay better than Mother's day-old-gum-on-a-sidewalk as it was a lot softer.
I likes.
oh yah, the FitS looks clean now with its app of Griot's Paint Sealant.
And also got a chance to motor my G this am followed by a full interior detail.
looks great. Key ingredients were Clarity with Window Wizard tools, Griot's LeatherCare and LeatherCare Spray, and interior duster. I did an app of Nero a few months ago so the dash still looked good without another app.

Yeah, ken, that's why I don't gamble much. The more you play, the more likely you are to lose.
Going to try the Meg's Blue clay out soon, too. My CR Cooper is due for a major detailing any day now. Just have to find the time. Soooooooo damn busy this month.
And hey, no pics of your FitS to show us how that clay and sealant worked out ??

(Assuming you're playing the same game, of course.)The more you play though, the more money you are likely to lose.
But if you start out ahead, then I say the odds of losing increase. The old Law Of Averages comes into play, right ?
and i can't take good picts due to sunny weather.
plus, the wheels are ugly so i dont want to embarrase people who see it...
going to order up that other set of wheels from TR today/tomorrow and then take picts, i thinks.
and sell the darn Rotalia Ugliosa wheels.
there's really no easy way. i suggest not going to Atlanta due to confusing situation.
