Anybody finding that their delivery date on the Owners Lounge keeps changing now the cars are at the distribution centre?

Yesterday my EDD was 22 March, today the EDD is 21 March! Of course, I don't have the car, and haven't heard from my MA regarding delievery.

Anyway, I just checked for the first time (looking at the EDD, that is) and it says April 4th, which is about on target according to my calculations. Wouldn't picking up your MINI on a Friday afternoon RULE?!

Hey, can I join? I'd been told May, but April is now looking quite possible.

Ordered 3/3 from International Mini in Milwaukee. Received at terminal Friday and waiting for the Tosca!

HOPE to take delivery by April 23, run up to see my daughter in Minneapolis, then head down to a business meeting in Keystone, Colorado. I guess I'll emerge from the run-in period somewhere in the Rockies and then scoot across Nevada on Rte. 50, cross the Sierras through Tahoe/Kirkwood, then down 88 and across the Central Valley to the Bay and home!

Could really use some route advice between Milwaukee and Minneapolis, and from Minneapolis to Denver. Would like to find alternatives to the Interstate (although I suppose I could hit each and every exit ramp on the way, just for variety and in hopes of a few cloverleafs for cornering...)

Production status update: Arrived in Halifax March 22 - expected in Calgary two weeks. Once arrived - body kit install and paint, aux gauges install, H&R springs install; JCW Kit - waiting final pricing but on order anyway; wheels and tires - still thinking on which 18's and chrome or silver ....

Anybody out there know of any pics with dark silver / black and chrome 18"s?

Just got the call from my Mini dealership this morning. My car has arrived at the dealership and will be ready for pickup on Monday :smile: Will pick it up on Monday late afternoon. Can't wait

I did not know the OL was that specific. I am on the Carmen too, with delivery on Long Island (maybe 70 miles from the port). I will have to check again.

Check the owners lounge and look under your order details. It should show you an estimated delivery date. Mine (for delivery outside Washington DC) said March 26. I don't think that is realistic given the fact that the Carmen docs on the 24th. I'm curious what date the owners lounge gave you.

haha... I'm actually trying to avoid the high-contrast situation on my car (even the stripes are also grey). I really like the Tarmacs in steel grey.. they're actually quite a nice metallic color. Not as light as the others, but, well.. my next set will be suuuuuper lightweight.

Ugh. Ryan, oh super detailing expert... gotta question. I just spent the day starting to prep the probe for sale. Washed twice, clay-bar'd, washed again, then went on to try to get the oxidation off. Found out that the oxidation was covering up some clearcoat failure on the hood. Any ideas on how to make it not so very obvious? I switched products (had been using ones without any fillers, etc.) to ones that had some fillers to try to mask the white spider marks from the clearcoat cracks, but dang.. it's frustrating. I'm still in the process of working on it, so it's the most amazingly attractive half-pink color now.

I just checked the OL too, and it says 3/25. Not bad when the Carmen arrives 3/24. "ASK MINI" says it's on the dock!

When you see it, (and drive it!) you can believe it!

 

Rachel, I'm not sure what to recommend to do with your Probe, since the clear coat is damaged! To clean it up, you'll need a cutting compound and then a polish. Try Wizards Finish Cut, although I haven't used it personally, all other Wizards products have been Amazing! Follow up with your favorite wax (Wizards ShineMaster is great for show cars, but doesn't provide much real-world protection), go for a caranuba (I recommend Zymol)

Another route is to use Zymol's Cleaner Wax instead of the FinishCut
Zymol cleaners
After the Cleaner Wax, use HD Cleanse, followed by a caranuba wax (like Creme or Carbon)

Good luck restoring the Probe, and if you have questions, ask!
