Guys, the "other" cubby organizer is the TVA Hot Pocket, available from Got Mini WagsFTB has one of these, and he loves it! You can see more pics of his in the Grad section of the webpage, in his gallery.
also, I updated the CWFAC page to include the F.M.A.'s (and Chef's A.M.E.
This is yukkie indeed! The rain can just go away and annoy someone else right now
Cheers,
Ryan

>>Ryan: Wonder if you will get a chance to test drive a stock "S" against yours one of these days? If you were a bit closer (NYC vs Detroit) I would be up for it.
>>The CWFAClubbers I am sure would love to know how the progessive rate springs and green brake pads feel in actual use.

Ok, I'll try to give a good comparison Red!
The H-Sport's progressive rate springs seem to provide the best of both worlds; better handling, and a smoother ride. This is possible through a more expensive coil winding technique that results in a "progressive rate" spring. This means that the more the spring is compressed, the stiffer it gets. This means the beginning of the spring compression can be soft to smooth out the rough stuff, and then get harder to provide firmer cornering and less bottoming out on large bumps. There really are no downsides to progressive rate springs on the road. For racing, generally you'll want to stick with linear rate springs, as they are more predictable at the extreme limit, and easier to fine tune on the track.
All brake pads have different 'feel' to them. I noticed the MINI's stock pads have quite a big "initial bite" to them, making them feel grabby and difficult to modulate. I have only tried the EBC Green Stuff pads so far on the MINI. I chose them because they are probley the cleanest running pad on the market now, which was my top priority with my white wheels
The feel of the Green pads is much improved over stock; as in more linear feeling, and also a firmer pedal (which is my preference).
Ok, this is enough for now,

Cheers,
Ryan

Looks great Paul. I love the all black look.
I think the chef is yanking us around a bit. You know, making us all wait just like he had to.
OK Chef, let's have it.
P.S. I put 4 adults in Pyro today. It was OK for a 5 mile ride to breakfast, but I would want to go much further.

Paul - your all JB looks great!
As for your CWF1250mile Club, I'm already at 1350+!
so I can't be KOTL for that one!
...and with my leaving for Deal's Gap in a few hours, I'll be up to 3000 by the time I get back!
I think Chef is playing with us, for sure! We've all be suckered
Andy - I've fit 2 adults in back too with no problems. It was just for a 5 minute "to-lunch" ride, but they both said they were comfy, it was just the ingress and egress that was tough from the back seat.
Cheers,
Ryan

Hello CWFAC,
I honestly don't know what to say. Picked up the car and drove home from San Antonio to Austin this evening. My son and I had a nice ride, but certainly nothing that great...perhaps I set myself up for a little disappointment. I was so ready to be blown away that no car could completely measure up. I'm sure that the MINI will grow on me with time, but so far it *just* a car. Small and sporty but I'm not sure it was worth all the hype...maybe I should have test driven a few others...
More news soon,
chef

OOOOOPS!!!
I almost forgot, I promised y'all some BIG news....
When I met my baby today I was surprised to hear a very proper, but fun-loving British voice whispering in my ear (or was it in my head...
). I was informed in no uncertain terms that while shadowfax was indeed a lovely name and carried a strong, speedy and magical heritage, my MINI's real name was--
"BURNIE"
Once I was set straight about this, I realized how perfect it was...
•Bernie is a very traditional British name, and has its roots as a shortening of the German Bernhard--hmmmm German/British, that works,
•Shadowfax (the horse) is white...BURNIE is red!!!
•BURNIE fits much better for a chef...
New, improved sig coming soon to a thread near you, "BURNIE" plates ordered from DMV, hope they come soon!!!!
Motoring at last!

Way to go Chef, I though you had lost if for a second there. Burnie is a great name. Looking forward to the new sig.
Great finish Pamato and Chef to a monumental month of MINIS.
Andy.
To top it all off Chef, The Giants are back on the winning track and Barry hit 2 tonight.

Sorry I missed you in San Antonio, I didn't get there until 5 PM today and went straight to the MINI Center...sounds like you were busy elsewhere...
-->Ryan, hope you have a blast at Deal's Gap...keep us posted and tackle a few twisties (and perhaps a pint or two) for me!
Peace out, y'all!

Unfortunately, there are still a few stray's that we haven't heard from!
Hopefully they got their MINI's, but have just been negligent in letting us know.
Let's keep this thread alive, don't forget about FMA's and OWLA's and OMLA's!
Cheers, be back in a few days

Indiana was unexpectedly drafted to the April club yesturday. He arrived at the dealership on Monday April 28th. My motoring sales adviser called and said he would not be ready until Thurs. May 1.
He called again yesturday and wanted him to come home. So, here we are in April club!
He is a MSC, Indi Blue/Black, all three packages, navigation, HK, and rain sensing wipers.
Very soon he will be getting modified with clear tail lights and chrome mirrors.
We be moterin now!
Cat

::cheering for everyone:: Hooray!
Actually, chef.. I might have been disappointed for a little while by my car since I only got to drive the initial 9 miles on it, then my SO took it for a few HUNDRED. I can't believe the difference in the car with more break-in and fun times. And the tires!
I'm a bit peeved at my MA. He wouldn't change any of the programmable options set on the car before I picked it up - not like I asked at the last minute, either. He assured me that I could just have my local dealer set the options whenever I wanted.
... except that the local dealer charges for that.
