I saw a ton of MINIs this weekend everywhere from Libertyville to Naperville, and several in Shaumburg I waved to most, but I'll admit I missed a few.

I saw a Blue (IB or HB)/W in the parjing garage at woodfield Fri. night, a DS/DS Later that night on Wilke. a CR/W in a parking garage in Naperville Sat.

 

Spotted:
Ministi2005 with his big new graphics in Deerfield and Waukegan at about 4:30 this afternoon.

SB Convertible on Waukegan a bit north of Dundee

Several unnamed non-wavers :-(

 

Spotted a LY/LY MCS with yellow S-Lite wheels and a black checkered graphic on the side headed Eastbound on the Eisenhower this morning (6:20 AM?). I would of waved, but it would have looked strange to the others waiting on the L platform with me. Very Cool

 

Around 5am I saw a MINI w/ Xenons going from 59 to 12.(I waved but I think was too little to late as the sun wasn't quite up yet)

THen around 7 I saw a CR/W MC in Lake Forest (waved and had a well packed back seat)

Then a EB/EB MCS w/ what looked like the PIAA kit, no wave.

And I later saw a SB/S MCS and got a wave.

 

Today I saw

• CB cabrio on Cuba about 5:15;
• JB (waved) on Cuba about 5:16;
• CR Cabrio on 12 about 5:45;
• LY/B on 355 B/w North ave and the Toll plaza

 

Saw a IB/W with bonnet stripes head North on 12 around 14:30 in Lake Zurich, I waved but think you missed me as I was kinda blocked by a H3 and a Blazer.

 

UK outside of Hundington...Too many to count let alone remember the color combos..dime a dozen there..but I guess you would drive something smaller when gas is almost 8 bucks a gallon...

BEP/B MINI in libertyville on 176 about 4:30 this afternoon, I was in the Neon waving while my MINI is getting some service done.

• PW/B in Vernon Hills behind the Athletic Feilds
• JB/W MC with driving lights and bonnet stripes waiting to turn onto 60 in Vernon Hills
• EB sitting in traffic on 176 west of Hawley

• CR/W MCS w/bonnett stripes - on Golf Rd/Mt Prospect Rd

Spotted between 5:30-6pm today:

• BRG/W MC near Arlington Hts/Algonquin Rds
• HB/W MCS w/stripes on Golf Rd near Arlington Hts
• AB/B MCS on Golf Rd near Busse Rd

 

Wow, saw many MINIs in Schaumburg. Ok, it was @ O-ron's send off and I would have waved if we were not all together.

 

Spotted:

• AB/B MC on Algonquin Rd/Goebbert @ 5:15pm got a big smile from the lady driver

 

Today @ 56 and 88 8:45 AM I saw a DS/B MINI with a red grill. It looked SUPER cool as it zoomed up behind me. I didn't wave as I was in the pickup.

 

Later a group that night was passed (we wanted to give the late arrival the chance to lead) by a CR/W MC on Sheridan road.

We also saw a DS/B on lower Wacker drive by as we planned our next phase, as well as get a break form the weather.

I saw a whole bunch, lost count, when I was taking a test drive in a JCW down Sheridan road (I know fridays can be so hard); tons of waves too . Also on my way to Knauz I had a HB/W MC follow me from Island Lake through to Lybertyville. (PM me if you're on NAM)

PW MC on Signal hill road on my way home from Culvers around 5:45-6

Got waves from both and a Peace sign from the PW.

 

What the heck, the only MINI that I saw today was mini reflected back. I guess that 7:00 am was early and in the middle of the horrible storm I wasn't looking.

Tell me that more people used this beautiful day to motor.

 

Well I just waxed Pearl last night, so it was a mad dash to the garage before the rain got bad.

 

Got a wave from a BRG/B going north on Deerpath Rd in N. Aurora.
