The ball idea seems great, but there's the problem of those who don't have antennas. Also, I currently have a Chicago Bears Helmet on there. I might be willing to take it down, but we still would need to figure something out for no antenna people.

The ball works well though because you can see it from all sides , whereas the motoringID or the badge, you can only see from certain sides. I rarely come up to a another MINI face to face.

The antenna ball is probably the best solution because of the 360 degree visibility. Those without anteni (like myself) would just have to initiate the greeting. If you really think about it there isn't a better solution unless you go with both a front and rear badge/decal.

yah, so... where's this ball? is there actaully going to be one?

this reminds me, today, I pulled up to a pw mini cooper in evanston, (pw myself), I looked over, but there was no look back, so I just went on. Kind of sad though, same color, stopped at a red, but nothing. o well.

What is with some of the new MINI owners? I have come up to a few in recent weeks (most with temp plates) and not even a look over. I still wave even though no wave back. :impatient

It's just that some of the newer Mini owners (I'm not saying all of them) are not as enthusiastic as us. For me, the first time I saw a Mini on the road, I wanted it, and I knew it was going to be my next car. With the gas crunch and bla bla bla, small economical cars are becoming more popular, and don't forget about it's short body making it easy for city dwellers to find parking spaces. Maybe we are the crazy ones. Naaaaaaa. :impatient :impatient :impatient WAAAAAAA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:impatient :impatient

(Waving just makes us better than them, seperates us from the animals kind of thing)

spotted - 2 MINI's at the Autobahn in Joliet yesterday (April 2) dark silver and pure silver. The dark silver was really giving a Porsche turbo fits.

quite off-topic but I spotted a DG/Blk MCS in Kanagawa-ken Japan, and also a yellow/white MC
by Narita airport in Chiba Japan last week. MINI's are huge in japan... like literally BIG.

Steve,

I saw you Northbound on the Edens at around 7:45 or so on Monday morning. Maybe around Willow? Hard to wave at that speed.

Very cool!! That is my morning commute time. I saw lots of MINI's out today, but I was on my new motorcycle so no waving.

yeh just big vs the road widths in the city. You think MINI's are tiny
cars in the US... they are pretty big in Japan. although, my pops drives
around his new Lexus GS in the same streets...

yah, i've always wished for a smaller MINI. It's a little big, but I guess all the tall people are happy.

Ahh, I saw a feel today, two on my way to school today. If I can recall a Blue MC going west on Dempster at Skokie BLV. and I think a yellow MC on Skokie BLV going North near Dempster.
And yesterday I believe I saw a Red with Black Bonnet Strip MCS going East on Dempster around 5.
And I'm wondering if the guy who owns a Blue MCS with 4 spoke rims still lives near me. I believe he was on this forum as well.

Kenchan, we are YOUNG . It will be interesting to note the size of vehicles in those rush-hour traffic jams on the Kennedy Expressway, in say 2015.

I saw a MINI pull into a drive way down the block here in St. Charles!

PW/B MCSc!! I'm not alone any more in my neighborhood

I told my wife the other day of my plans to trade in my MCS for a PW cabrio at some point. When we saw the MCSc, she told me my plans were foiled Oh well - there's no law that says you can't have two PW MCScs on the same block

ah... that's what I thought. Junior in college as of now. My little brother still goes there, he's a freshman though. Are there a lot of MINI's on the lot or is yours the only one?
