Sat 11:00 AM - passed a PW/B MC w/ Strmcooper plates headed westbound on I-290 in the Elmhurst/Addison area. Waved, but the driver seemed to be jamming to some tunes on an I-Pod and didn't look in our direction.

• HB/W MCS - eb Golf Rd/Potter @ 9am. Thanks for the wave

 

Since the last 6 weeks or so I've posted, I've seen MINI's in Chicago, Washington D.C, Germany, France, Monaco and the Netherlands. The one thing that ties them all together is walking up and saying you own a MINI too and the conversation starts!

Wow ya leave for a bit and there's Birth's, cars being sold and name changes.

 

Spotted: chequedmini and Tallulah Mae on Rt. 41 this morning.

I waved, but I was on the motorcycle (so I probably looked like a psycho killer instead of a MINI owner)

Spotted CoolBlue2 cruising top down on my way home on Rt. 41 yesterday!!

PiercedMini - BRG/B MCS. We made left turns in front of each other at Harlem onto Golf Rd (me wb, you eb) @ 5pm. I'm assuming you got your MCS repaired already?? you'll have to come by to see the baby

Great day for MINIs yesterday, as I left work I received a big MINI wave (oops, forgot the color). Then, I slipped in behind a fellow MINI convertible (running in sunroof mode) and we cruised along 41 for a while. Awesome!! Finally, received a friendly wave from a red MCS at Sunset and Willow.

I was in the northwest burbs with the MINI yesterday. All the cars I saw did not wave!!!

Oh well.

Actually in a ironic turn of events I saw you Steve driving up to get my new car. I was in a black R53. I waved but you didn't see me

That said I don't think I've gotten a waive from any MINI (except one a few weeks ago) in a year or so.

 

It was a she and I thought they were Illinois plates, but I might be wrong.

 

Love it!! I was watching for your Bimmer thinking you would be heading out there. Also thought about going up to Knauz at lunch to test drive your car before you got it, but I didn't have time ;-)

 

Spotted a few while picking up some lunch at Portillo's Skokie this afternoon, including AB/W R56 MCS owner who politely waved back while trying to figure out why I was waving.
