Spotted a bunch 1st Generation and a couple of Classic Mini's up at Road America for the ALMS race last Saturday.

 

Got a big wave from an R53 on 3rd Street in Geneva tonight. It was dark so I didn't get the color.... but I think it had a white top and looked lowered from my rear view mirror

 

... I spotted a MINI at a parking structure on Wells and Lake

Yup 2nd gear fresh pavement Dundee to Lake Cook all clear....even if the howling of the SC and the blinding Driving lights flashing by give the locals nightmares

i think im going to head over to SuburbanTire in hoffman ests to get my
front SSR's re-wrapped this week. TR's giving them a 5 star rating...
hope they can mount without scratching the rim.... any suggestions?

Almost every other day at about 8am between Kirk Rd between Fayban Pkwy and Fermilab I pass an R53 MC CR/W with a UJ roof. No waves

 

2005-2007 Hyper Blue MCSC that was lowered with aftermarket exhaust near Randolph just west of the Chicago River sometime between 11:00am and 2:00pm today. Looked good, and the deceleration sound is what got my attention first.

 

Spotted yesterday between 8:45-9am:

• CR/W MC - wb Golf Rd/Potter rd
• DS/B MCS - wb Golf Rd/River Rd
• IB/B MCS - wb Golf Rd/83

• DS/B MCS - wb Golf Rd/Potter ... you looked confused by my wave...
• CR/W MC - 90 exit and Arlington Hts Rd... not sure if you saw me passing by

 

Gota wave from a black R53 MCS today at Rt 31 and Fayban

 

Finally got my first wave, though it might have been a generic "acknowledging your thanks for letting you in". I was turning N. out of the teeny parking lot just N. of Armitage on Damen (with the 7-11) and the Blue (not sure which, a paler, pearly blue) with white car was heading S. on Damen and let me out of the lot.

 

saw a grey mcs with an aero kit, someone had just bought it used, still had temp tags at lifetime fitness gym in bloomingdale last night. who are you? i need a workout buddy. haha

 

Enjoyed a spirited drive with a black MC around midnight on the Edens heading back into the city last night/this morning. Thanks for the wave. It woke me up.

 

Hey, I will be in Chicago Sat, Sun, and leaving Monday, got a friends 40th party on sat night... not sure what I am doing Sunday yet... any MINI things going on?

 

There will be a handfull of us doing an Indoor Kart Race in Buffalo Grove, a bit northwest of the city..

Are you in your MINI?? we just had a fun run on SAT... where will you be (NS, SS, burbs??) If you're up north, I can do the run again. I might pass by the gokart thing to watch 'cus I have a fb draft that evening.

 

I hope to be in my MINI.. it was vandalized on Sat night... glass broken...

I am heading out to Knauz MINI on Saturday afternoon for a BMW thing.
I was planning on taking the highway, but could easily be persuaded to take a fun cruise up Sheridan Road (one of the nicest twisty roads in the north shore area).

 

i have nothing to do, so might come check it out.

 

I have seen more MINI's while driving the Patrick loaner than I ever see when I am driving mine. What's up with that? I got some waves too. Could it be that SpaceBlue/Silver is better than HB/W? I think NOT.
